As a Skins fan, I find myself torn in deciding who to root for between two hated division rivals. While Philly has proven themselves dominant in the East the past several years, their fans have been nothing but classless.

My brother-in-law is a die-hard 'Boys fan and we can both come together and agree that the Eagles have, hands down, the worst fans in the league. I'll be flipping between the Skins-Broncos' game and yours quite frequently.

:beer2: Here's a toast to giving Philthy a heaping dose of Roy Williams and Julius Jones.

Hey thanks, wish I could say the same. One quick question, since we watch different games.

Since we are playing Philly, it reminds me of the horse collar rule. I haven't seen that penalty called all year. Have you ?

I have the Sunday Ticket through DTV and haven't seen it called once yet. I'm sure as soon as someone gets called using it, it'll be all over ESPN.

Called one Monday night against the Packers. Pass was picked and a receiver ran him down from behind. However it sure looked to me like he had jersey not pads. It sounds so grade school when the refs announce the penalty.

Nope, Roy needs a new type of hit or tackle. Maybe the one where he puts his shoulder down and goes 100 mph for the lower legs and upends the guy.

Then next year they make it illeagle to tackle below the waste.

You know, in a weird way, I almost like the Commanders- or at the very least I enjoy seeing a strong rivalry between Dallas and Washington (something that hasn't existed for the last 8 years.) Furthermore, I respect Joe Gibbs. However, I absolutely despise the Eagles. Everything about them, from Buddy Ryan, Reggie White (RIP), Jerome Brown (RIP to the best defensive tackle after Randy White), Andre Waters and Wes Hopkins to today's edition with that mouth-breather McNabb (great QB though), that imbecile Owens and of couse the omni-present moronic fans. I enjoy the Skins-Boys rivalry, but were Dallas to destroy the Eagles every game for the rest of my life, I would be a very happy man. At the very least, I pray they never win the SuperBowl.

Yeah, unfortunately though, the first time Roy does it, it's not gonna matter if he's got the jersey or his arm is all the way down the back of the guys shoulder pads, he's getting the penalty and a hefty fine.

Close your ears SkinsandTerps(SaT)-- this post is not directed to you.

Hello BDS -- I'm an Eagles fan! And while I could care less what two teams you're struggling to cheer for, I'm concerned about your rationale. Your reasons for rooting for Dallas may pull the wool over some (not all) Cowboy fan's eyes, but your justification is completely transparent to me. My senses tell me that you feel you own the Cowboys (or at least your little one point win places them at a greater disadvantage), but you haven't met the Eagles yet; therefore, you know the Eagles can do some damage to your sweet 3-0 division lead (credit due in that regard).

But it's utterly sickening to try to make Dallas fans believe you're "siding" with them on supporting their win! All Eagle fans are not classless! No more or less than all Commanders fans have class. Fans from all franchises have components of the "sterotypical fan."

I'll be flipping between the Skins-Broncos' game and yours quite frequently.

I wonder how many Cowboy fans will be rooting for the Skins to win!
I actually live in Fort Washington, MD. I hear George Michaels speak with Gibbs (whom I respect). But it sounds as though LaVarr Arrington is Getting more practice time than playing time -- that's all over the local news. What's up with that?

Here's a toast to giving Philthy a heaping dose of Roy Williams and Julius Jones

What's your point?! We've already factored-in Mr Williams and Mr JJ -- do you think that is the winning combination. I'll toast to that too -- hope they have a nice game without injuries, and that Bledsoe, KeyShawn, and the entire OL/DL remains a non-factor. ...We're playing the entire Dallas Cowboys, not just one or two players. The team must Minimize mistakes, captialize on the opponent team's mistakes, induce turnovers ...and score points! That's just one possible winning combination. So you go ahead and toast to a "heaping dose of Roy Williams and JJ!"

Broncos versus Commanders game:

Actually, I hope the Commanders win because they are an NFC-East team. Anyone that knows me can tell you that I'm an Eagles fan first; an NFC-East fan secondly, and an NFL fan always.

So if you're trying to win friends around here by being condensending; don't! SaT is my idea of a straight up Commanders fan -- at least he'll tell you what he's really thinking! BTW, he's not hypocritical either!

Penalty yeah, but fine ? Why ? Its a rule, like a facemask, roughing the kicker, clipping, blocking below the waiste, holding, late hit out of bounds.....

Do any of those come with a fine ? I'm sure the NFLPA would fight for his cause.

Now, being called a penalty, if he does hit the jersey and not the pads...Yeah, I could see it. Bad calls are made all of the time in the NFL. Unless you are the Eagles or Brett Farve, whom the refs treat with kid gloves.
