Hello BDS -- I'm an Eagles fan! And while I could care less what two teams you're struggling to cheer for, I'm concerned about your rationale. Your reasons for rooting for Dallas may pull the wool over some (not all) Cowboy fan's eyes, but your justification is completely transparent to me. My senses tell me that you feel you own the Cowboys (or at least your little one point win places them at a greater disadvantage), but you haven't met the Eagles yet; therefore, you know the Eagles can do some damage to your sweet 3-0 division lead (credit due in that regard).
Hi - Don't get me wrong, we had absolutely no right to win that Monday Night game. I stayed up to watch 55 minutes of disgusting play from our offense just like most everyone else. Was I bouncing off the walls after the go-ahead TD? Yes. But I know to keep things in perspective. My rationale, since it's apparent to me now that I didn't voice it properly (thank you), is that the more games that are split between division rivals, the better off my team will be.

But it's utterly sickening to try to make Dallas fans believe you're "siding" with them on supporting their win!
Why is this so hard to believe? I'm not old enough to remember the golden age of the Boy's-Skins rivalry so all I know is that Dallas has been crushing the Skins the last 7 years. Because of this, I've respected the Cowboys as an organization for a while since I've watched the team fairly closely (friends close, enemies closer..yada yada). Do I still consider myself a die-hard skins fan? Hell yes. Do I root for the Cowboys? Sure, why wouldn't I?

All Eagle fans are not classless! No more or less than all Commanders fans have class. Fans from all franchises have components of the "sterotypical fan."
Perhaps I was a bit to general in my statement but, in my personal experience, I've met more idiot Eagles fans that know little about the game of football outside their city. But, you are correct. I've seen my fair share of classless Commanders fans.

I wonder how many Cowboy fans will be rooting for the Skins to win!
While it's always nice to have people on your side, my post had more to do with conveying my personal feelings about your upcoming game than trying to 'win people over.'

I actually live in Fort Washington, MD. I hear George Michaels speak with Gibbs (whom I respect). But it sounds as though LaVarr Arrington is Getting more practice time than playing time -- that's all over the local news. What's up with that?
It seems that our coaching staff doesn't feel Arrington 'fits' into our defensive schemes. He is occassionally inserted on specific defensive packages but has only been playing 2-5 snaps a game. During practice this week, there's been rumors of him lining up as a pass-rushing defensive end rather than a blitzing linebacker. Should be interesting to see how he is utilized the latter part of the season because he'll be fresh.

What's your point?! We've already factored-in Mr Williams and Mr JJ -- do you think that is the winning combination. I'll toast to that too -- hope they have a nice game without injuries, and that Bledsoe, KeyShawn, and the entire OL/DL remains a non-factor. ...We're playing the entire Dallas Cowboys, not just one or two players. The team must Minimize mistakes, captialize on the opponent team's mistakes, induce turnovers ...and score points! That's just one possible winning combination. So you go ahead and toast to a "heaping dose of Roy Williams and JJ!"
I'm not implying that these 2 players alone can break the Eagles, but there is absolutely no question that they are 2 HUGE playmakers that can change the outcome of a game based on 1 or 2 plays on their respective sides of the ball.

Broncos versus Commanders game:
Actually, I hope the Commanders win because they are an NFC-East team. Anyone that knows me can tell you that I'm an Eagles fan first; an NFC-East fan secondly, and an NFL fan always.
So if you're trying to win friends around here by being condensending; don't!
SaT is my idea of a
straight up Commanders fan -- at least he'll tell you what he's really thinking! BTW, he's not
hypocritical either!
It seems you and I are in the same boat since I am also an NFC East fan second only to the Commanders. As for being hypocritical, I don't see how I could have come across that way but if that's your perception of me, then what can I really do *shrugs*? Perception is reality.
