Jerry said the NFL wants every team to be 8-8. Well when that finally happens we will be better at it than anyone! he is truly a visionary!

Thats just sad....................Jerry is happy to be mediocre as long as his trainee is the head coach.................at least Jerry realizes that Garrett will never be better than 8-8, so he at least has some grip on reality, its not all gone yet.

Whats might be more disturbing is Jerry realizes this and doesnt care.

I honestly used to think he really wanted to win. I am embarrassed to admit that.

Me too.............I always though he wanted to win more than anything and just didnt know how to...............keeping Garrett strictly on the basis that he has "spent too much time training him" has me seriously questioning my previous belief.

I think Jerry's just changed since Parcells left. He proved he didn't want the best when he hired Wade Phillips as coach and had Garrett as his assistant before Wade even came to Dallas.

I'm sure he meant it, but I believe (hope) he was saying what the NFL wants- not what he wants.

Slight difference, despite his overall failings to do better than .500.

hmmm.......to get everyone to 8-8 the NFL would have to handicap certain coaches to limit them. Probably have to force them to wear a MP3 player with Heavy metal music going full time on high to limit their concentration and calculation levels vrs. the underacheivers like Garrett.

A good coach can take his'un and beat your'un..........and take your'un and beat his'un........it isn't just tiered drafting ....there are coaches just like businessman that will beat the others consistently. A good coach will take a Wilson or a Koepernick in the later rounds and build a system around him, a ave. coach can have a Romo and devise a scheme to limit him.

Dallas was 8-8 team way before Garrett...I don't know what the obsession is about pinning everything on him. Perplexing to say the least.

Were you out of the country in 2009? We were 11-5 and won a playoff game.

He does want to win. He just uses lousy strategy to make it happen. When you see the look on his face when we lose, you can tell he hates losing. I wish he would hate it enough to hire a GM and get out of his way. But I'd doubt that will happen.

Dallas is 120-120 since 1999. Has Jason Garrett been running things since then?

Maybe we can focus on the team over the last 7 years since he has been here. Go find us a good running back to fix our defense.

Sure he wants to win as long as it is 100% comfy for him and he can say I told you so to his doubters. Hence we have no shot.

maybe we can focus on true problem instead of picking a temporary punching bag named Garrett. Dallas problems were way before Garrett and they will remain after he leaves.

You are not wrong about that, however we know we are stuck with Jerry so the only thing that CAN change is the coach.
