There's plenty not to like about the Jones', but roster construction isn't one of them, over the last decade or so. What they're doing in that regard is very clearly working.

I don't know why I come on here the first few days of FA. It's always the same *****ing. Ever notice that the Patriots aren't making spash signings on the day 1 every year? Dumb, right?!

patriots are always doing something. They just traded for Bennett. Plus they're coming off a Super Bowl win while going there 9 times in the past 18 years... and I'm guessing Bellichek isn't on vacation right now?

They're not always making splash signings early in FA, which was my point.

stephens motto is build through the draft, waste those players with bad coaching, rinse, repeat.

last 3 years we haven't done anything flashy in free agency.

we expect players to take bargain bin contracts too.

You forgot the part about drafting players who lose 1-2 seasons worth of that rookie contract rehabbing injuries. OK to take risks on injured, unproven draft picks, but not proven veterans.
