Regardless of the competition in the playoffs. I have been told several times to enjoy the ride and I am enjoying this surprising season.

Lots of poor football being played in the league currently. Professional players should not lose games like the Saints lost last night. The series before the Bucs first touchdown drive should have ended all hopes. The pathetic run out of bounds by Ingram and attempt at the pass on 3rd down and 1 yard should be grounds for instant termination.

Brady and Rodgers both seem to be at their very final years. I’m surprised Brady has remained so healthy these past several years but then you look at his release time and realize he is not going to hold the ball long enough to really take many more shots. Mahomes and KC or Burrow and the Bengals seem to be the closest thing to a super team (I guess you could include Allen/Bills).

This is the most wide open potential playoff field I have witnessed since 1996. If the Cowboys cannot succeed in the postseason this year, then there is no reason to hold onto any player over 27. Just scrap the older players and rebuild. No matter what happens in the regular season.

Disagree with the older player theory. Really like Martin and Tank.
Tank is having a great season. He is really good against the run. One of the better D ends this team has had in regards to that.

I’m talking about going forward. I would favor trading every single player over 27 that has good draft value. The team needs to draw a line in the sand with regards to playoff success-this postseason. Get the results or get out.

27 years, I'm passed Enjoy the Ride. It's SB or failure. This is the easiest path to a SB Dallas will ever face.

It's time.

This is 100% true. The Bucs didn't win that game. The Saints lost it. They failed at Football 101 last night. Their HC is an idiot.

If that would have happened here, the calls for someone's job would be very loud today. And deservedly so.

We’ve been one of the younger teams, the leagues for the past five seasons. But you need some veterans.

Disagree that good teams win. Not always.

Winning teams win.

There is a difference. There are some teams that just find a way to pull it out. It's not luck, it's how the team reacts to pressure situations. That typically involves veteran leadership.

We have a running game and the defense to win at home as well on the road in the playoffs.
With the way teams have been playing in the NFC it is wide open.
Eagles and Vikings being the most consistent, and Dallas right there also with some less consistency.
One could say SF as well, but now they are in flux a bit, depending how Purdy performs.

But any of these 4 teams can be win or lose in the playoffs at this point. I still say the Eagles are more vulnerable than the other 3 teams as to being 1 and done.
But let's see how they play the NYG as well as us 1st.

Sometimes the better team does not win. Old saying...it is why they play the games.

Easiest ? They are gonna have to win THREE ROAD PLAYOFF GAMES just to get to the Super Bowl.

There are no real dominant teams. And home field advantage did the Cowboys no good after 2006 and 2016. The team with guts (the good team) won both times. Good teams have guts and most of the time put the odds into their favor by playing better football than the other side.

Like I said in another thread. Brady and Belichick did not drink from the magical crotch of Lady Luck. They just put themselves in better position to win consistently than the other side.

If they cannot advance far this season, that should tell everyone that this core of veterans cannot get it done. There has never been a more wide open NFC.

I’d argue the most talented teams win for the most part.

The Eagles and 49ers are the most talented rosters in the NFC. No surprise they are the 2 favorites.

Dallas is close but not there yet IMO. We can make a run but will need a little luck and for those teams to slip up and underperform.

This team does not need a major overhaul.

As long as they get the results this postseason, I agree. If not, everyone should be on the trade block that is over 27 with good draft value.

Smash and trash it is not the way to get better does not work

Cincinnati seems to have gotten much better after some recent top picks, so I guess it does work. San Francisco got much better after top picks used on defense. Philadelphia basically threw a game for a better draft spot, got rid of their starting QB and ate a huge chunk of salary, stockpiled 1st round picks and seems to be heading in the right direction. So there’s that…
