Well I wish you well. good luck in all that you do.

I will say this, anyone who is looking to jump ship after yesterday should stop and realize, the eagles are playing great right now. They are so good up front it is not funny.

We got beat by a better team. Take your hats off to them and move on. I know how hard that is to admit because its the eagles, I hate their fans, they do nothing but talk trash and start fights. Last night section 121 the police had to come and get rid of and calm eagles fans down 3 times. Sorry and pathetic are their fans, however their football team is talented and poised.

Also, you are jumping ship at the wrong time. I believe we matchup well with seattle and that we play better as the underdog on the road. I think we win in Seattle and hope for the best in chicago.

Good luck to ya. It is going to be hard to come back after your post.

I think the zone needs a new forum section to put threads like these in. You could call it the ”Bandwagon Zone”.

I don't know what's more pathetic, the play of team or those who actually thought this team was heading for the Super Bowl.

I'm disappointed, but not surprised. I've been a Cowboys fan since the late 70's. I saw the 3 straight championship losses and then the drop off and decline of the Landry Cowboys. Then the 1-15 season. Then the excitement of the rise and climb to 3 SB's in 4 years. That followed by the decline again and incompetence of Jerry trying to be GM and hiring idiots as HC which led to three consecutive 5-11 seasons.

Now we're to the present of having BP as HC who has had winning seasons in 3 or his 4 years here. It is disappointing that we only made the playoffs twice in these 4 years and both as road wildcard teams. But, I never jumped ship during any of the low points in the last 30 years, and a mediocre wild card season definitely isn't going to push me over the edge.

I do think BP has run his course. He doesn't seem to have it in him. I don't see him being able to get this team over the hump. He was definitely a huge improvement over what we had the previous 8-10 years, but imo, it's time for him to hang it up and let someone use with more energy and innovation take over and get us to the next level. Let's just hope Jerry will make the right hire and again let the HC have the same control as he allowed Jimmy and Bill. The last thing we need is to revert back to a Switzer-Gailey-Campo puppet-like regime. And of course, Zimmer needs to be the first one out the door.

To all fellow zoners:

I bid you all goodbye. Let me first state that my frustration is not with this forum, but rather with the Dallas Cowboys themselves...and the emotional penalty I've paid over the past 4 seasons with Parcells as the head coach. I am officially turning in my Cowboys jersey, collectibles, and anything that symbolizes the Dallas Cowboys. As a fan of 25 years, this is very difficult for me. This team ripped my heart out last night, and I simply cannot continue to watch them. Aside from the star and Texas Stadium, they don't symbolize the Dallas Cowboys that I grew up watching.

I suppose that I can extend my frustration to the NFL in general. Long gone are the days of the powerhouse teams that can just plow their ways to the Super Bowl. I had never even heard of the words "Any Given Sunday" in the football context until about 4 years ago. Those words simply mean that any crappy team can come in and beat you. Is this supposed to make me feel better about the NFL and the watered down product on the field? Should playing fantasy football (a game which I do not play out of loyalty to the star) make me feel better? Why does it seem that parity has served well for every team at one time or another except for the Cowboys in recent history? After years of watching this franchise tumble to the status of "Cincinnati Bengals South", I have chosen to pull the plug on my loyalty to the Cowboys and the NFL.

As far as Parcells goes, he simply overanalyzes everything, and the game has simply passed him by. Case in point is the New Orleans Saints and Sean Payton. They are winning with a bunch of castoffs who couldn't fit our so-called powerhouse of a team. We let Fujita and Shanle go, only to keep a couple of slow guys that can't seem to get their assignments right no matter how many times they get burned...and a first rounder that is finally seeing the field at the LB position.

This is the difference between Parcells and other coaches. Other coaches field their best players based on performance. Parcells won't field them until he has performed full psychoanalysis. Case in point: Why hasn't Parrish seen the field at the safety position? Is he still undergoing psychoanalysis?

To those of you that blame Zimmer, you need to perform a reality check. Zimmer is running a defensive scheme that was shoved down his throat by Parcells. Parcells "bought his groceries" and tinkered with the #1 defense in the NFL to build this juggernaut that we have today. If Parcells wasn't happy with Zimmer, wouldn't you think he would have done something about it by now?

He who buys the groceries and cooks the meal must taste what he has cooked before serving the guests. Apparently, Parcells has slipped us all a bad meal made of spoiled groceries, and he is laughing all the way to the bank. He got his defense, with his personnel, and they stink. He must shoulder this blame with all the early round picks spent on the defense in recent years. No excuses whatsoever. Zimmer does not have a say in who gets drafted and who doesn't. The blame for the defense goes straight to Parcells.

I've also heard some disturbing things about Parcells and pre-draft visits with college prospects. Chris Cooley even mentioned that he met with Parcells before he was drafted, and Parcells stated that he had no shot to play in the NFL. Who the frick is Parcells to make such a call?

I bid the forum a question as I make my exit: All the talk is about whether or not Parcells will return next year. The question is, does Jerry Jones WANT him to return next year?

The cheese has been aging for 4 years now. You would think that Cowboy fans finally deserve a bite.

Goodbye to all and keep your heads up.
You sir are a loser.

Don't let the door hit you man. You never give up on the star. Coaches and players will come and go but the star remains ever constant.

Good luck kicking the habit.

You will be back.

On the nosey.

I agree with everything he wrote....except the leaving part.

It's been a struggle...both for Cowboy fans and for fans of the NFL.

If you remember the "old" days, this product the NFL puts on the field is FootBall Lite in comparison.

But it's still the best sport, by far.

What a bunch of jerks.

Makes me wonder why I spend so much time here myself.

Kick a guy while he's down, why don't you.

I have no problem with people jumping all over stupid posts. It needs to be done more often in my opinion.

Do these things ever turn out nicely?
Just a bit of venting from a long time fan, which is something we all like to do when crap like last night happens.

It is worse when this happens, after you had hope and all looks well, as opposed to knowing you suck and pretty much sticking to form, '89 anyone?

But that's that, The rant isn't anything to get hot or biligerant about.

Listen here TH,

A lot of you have been spoiled by the great seasons of the 90s and 70s, and when you get 9+ win seasons, you guys start to complain.

I'm 16, and I became a fan right after the Cowboys began their slide. Yeah, I could have easily given up on the team at that time, because, well, I really never saw them do anything except lose, I never had those years where I truly saw Dallas dominate.

I guess it's easier for me to not give up on this team, because I never really saw Dallas do ANYTHING. That's why I cherish every chance to play in the playoffs. This is silly. We're such a bipolar board that we're NINE AND SIX, and yet we all still freak out. Calm down guys, it's not like we've been eliminated from the playoffs.

Sure, this is a disappointing loss. But if you guys haven't noticed, I believe that before every Dallas run, we have a disappointing stretch.

Before we won our first super bowl in the 70s, we were known as not being able to "win the big one". If you "left" the team when Dallas kept failing to win the Super Bowl, you missed the two super bowls in the 70s.

Before we won our 3rd, 4th, and 5th Super Bowls in the 90s, fans had to endure the gutter teams of the late 80s.

TH, live through this, and I promise you that better times are coming.

Since I don't feel like sending out a dozen warnings to people...say what you feel you need to say WITHOUT the personal stuff....OK?

Let's try to keep it civil.

Thanks :)

Thats the problem. Who are you, or anyone else around here, to determine what "stupid" is. Peoples feelings aren't stupid.
