The notion that a team should get comp picks relative to minority hiring is something I won't comment on here.

But get this! The 49ers have been awarded 3 Day Two Draft Picks (!!!) for this:
- Robert Saleh's hiring in New York
- Martin Mayhew's hiring in Washington
- DeMeco Ryan's hiring in Houston
- Ran Carthon's hiring by Titans

Yes the 49ers are getting not one, not two, but three high-drawer draft picks not for their own hiring(!) but because other teams have hired coaches/execs who were once connected to the 49ers.

Consider the insanity! Carthon has been an executive to three different teams in his past. Saleh worked for four different NFL teams before landing with Jets. Mayhew worked as exec for 3 teams before his time in SF.

Yet Goodell and gang have sainted the 49ers--giving them Mother Mary status for their limited involvement, and bequeathed their roster with 3 bonus 3rd round picks as "payback".

Oh, and the Niners got four other comp picks for departing players. Seven comp picks in all.

The NFL is a scam, bros. There are favored teams, and there are teams the league is happy to bury. Never forget it.

Lol, the rule applies for all 32 teams. The 9ers hired minority coaches and the players performed. It’s really that simple!

While I don’t entirely agree with it, everyone knew the rules ahead of time. Perhaps Sam Fran is intentionally hiring minority candidate to exploit this. Just means everyone else who isn’t doing that is accepting the loss in picks; even playing field

This seems like it's illegal. It creates an incentive to hire from certain racial groups over others. Not sure how that doesn't violate anti-discrimination laws.
Of course municipalities/states have been doing this kind of thing a long time, and that's overlooked because there's supposedly a significant "interest" for the community.
