I know when I go into the VIP it's to find me a man to ravage me mercilessly, especially a big ole quarterbackin man like Ben Roethlisraper.

That's why I wear that shirt that shows off my man cleavage.

Judas Priest what? She's a girl that doesn't want attention and goes into a VIP room with pro athletes? Did she think they were having bible study?

Yeah because everyone who goes into a club to dance, drink a little, and have a fun time is obviously looking to be manhandled by any guy who shows up and thinks he can do whatever he wants just because he's a pro athlete.

Just being in a club and hanging out doesn't mean you're looking for spotlight or to be attacked in anyway.

If that's in fact what happened, that is.

I think he will be charged with rape this time. I keep wondering what is taking so long though. Whether he will get convicted or not, I don't know. But I think he will be charged.

If you are going to be the one to bring charges against a high profile athlete/celebrity you want to be damn sure you've got everything straight. I'd bet they are taking this long because they are getting their ducks in a row and double and triple checking what they've got. If Ben is guilty, they'll get him. No one wants to get the TMZ treatment because they brought charges that were ultimately dropped or dismissed. Unfortunately, that is exactly what would happen to anyone associated with the case as well as this poor girl if Ben were to get off. (no pun intended)

Why would a girl that wants no attention be in the VIP room of a club with pro athletes?

Because she didn't see the fine print on the bottom of the sign that read; "Warning: you may be sexually assualted. However you may still ask for an autograph"

:( I see now the mindset that encourages people to act the way Ben is accused of acting.

She had a blood alcohol level of .2, she had a fake ID confiscated at the same club a week before. She's a doll.

Hard to read with a blood alcohol level of .2 I guess.

He was interviewed. By police the night of the incident. They want to interview him again and his lawyer is stalling while saying they will cooperate. I imagine they are simply seeing if he will cooperate or not. I do expect him to be charged. I think they have enough evidence. They even canceled a request for a DNA sample. That means they have some on her they wanted to match and now either have that match, or feel like they have enough with knowledge of a sexual act to prove the DNA is his without asking for a sample.

I'm not taking a position on whether this happened or not. Ususally when the police want to talk to an accused they want to talk to him to help out their case. I'm not saying they can't get a conviction on what they already have, without talking to him (again) but they think they NEED to talk to him for some reason. Which likely means that they have some holes in their case that they would like to eliminate by talking to him. A good defense lawyer would NOT allow him to talk to law enforcement. Once again, I'm not taking a position this happened or not, just sharing some insight that 20 plus years of handling criminal cases has given me.

I had rough, aggressive sex with my girlfriend last night. It's not what I'm into, but she initiated it. Yeah, she started it by not wanting to have sex with me. And saying she wasn't my girlfriend, and that she was just waiting for a bus.

Jimmy40 finds it offensive.

Everybody knows the chick was just asking to be raped.

What was Ben supposed to do.

Even when her eyes say yes? :laugh2:
It doesn't matter if she was physically arousing him. At the point a woman says no, if you push on you have sexually assaulted her. There is no starting point for no. Her BAC doesn't matter. If she told the man no and he persisted he is guilty.

Sexual assault is the #1 most under reported crime in the world. There is a chance the girl is too traumatized to pursue this. That does happen, a lot. Especially in a high profile case like this. Her name is going to be dragged through the mud. One guy in this thread already is.

Don't let a joke trap you into the same ignorant stance as has already been presented.

I know it is no joking matter I also know there are women out there who will accuse star athletes in order to settle out of court for money.

I don't know what took place with Roethlisberger and as I have said if he did it then I hope he is thrown in jail for his action however if this turn into a non criminal case but ends up in civil or is settled out of court then I tend to be much less sympathetic. I believe in justice not extortion

Others who played college ball can attest to this. One of the first things the coaches warn you about is girls who will try and trap you. I went to a Christian college and it still was prevalent. It is so much worse when you get to the Pros.

Here at Arizona there was a girl who accused Khalid Reeves of the basketball team of rape. He was an 18 year old freshman. She was a 21 or 22 year old. His name got dragged all over the press. Hers was never revealed.

I happen to know a lady who worked in the Administration Office. Her husband coached football with me. That girl called the U of A and told them she wanted $50,000 and free tuition or she was going to bring down the basketball program. That never was in the media. They told her to pound sand, so she accused a kid of rape. I know of 5 or 6 players on that basketball team whom she had slept with. They all backed Khalid.

So, I am fully aware of the risks Ben takes here. As I have previously said in this thread. The circumstantial evidence looks bad for him. I have no idea how the physical evidence looks, but the taped over security footage is awfully fishy.

I am dead serious about the impact of no. If a woman gets your motor running with heavy foreplay, and then she shakes her head or verbally says no or don't, if you persist she has a case for sexual assault.

This girl's BAC level has no bearing. It is the same as if she had been given a date rape drug. She has to be a willing partner from start to finish. I just taught a class on this last month for the ladies at my church. No means no.

The Army actually teaches some good classes on this, as it's become a pretty prevalent problem in the military especially with Soldiers doing multiple, year-long rotations to overseas theaters of operations while living in close quarters with female Soldiers.

In the Army, I know there is a pretty healthy dose of both ends of the spectrum. You've got the Soldiers that are actually sexually assaulted, and you have the Soldiers that are able to coerce those with higher rank to sleep with them for favors, and when it all goes south they try to bring them down with false charges.

The legal system does work - especially in a high profile case such as this. You can be guaranteed that the police in Milledgeville are not going to bring about charges against Ben Roethlisberger unless they are absolutely certain they have an open and shut case for sexual assault. The Army is the same way - investigations are very thorough, and unlike the civilian justice system where someone being interviewed by the police can lie and get away with it, if you make a false sworn statement (all investigative statements collected in the Army are sworn by oath/affirmation) you are just as liable to be punished under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

If I would've known that you taught classes, I would've loved to have you teach some classes to our troops. We're not too far out from heading out to Iraq now, but I'll definitely keep you in my rolodex for the future :
