Expansion to Europe would be the dumbest decision probably in all of professional sports history. That's why I don't doubt Goodell would do it.

The big reason why it's dumb is that there's very little reward and tons of negative.

The NBA expanded it's market internationally and it's overall economic health, TV ratings and attendance went down.

And that's hoping that they can get more international players. One of the big reasons why football is not played internationally is it's pretty expensive to field a team, on any level. Equipment is not cheap. Not like soccer or even cheaper, basketball where all you need is a hoop and ball.

So the reward is minimal and the risk is quite extreme.

How much time have you spent in Britain?

My wife is Scottish and I spend quit a bit of time there and it's a beautiful area and generally a lot cleaner than the comparible areas in the United States.

Does London have polution? Sure, but far less than New York City or LA and it's a heck of a lot safer as well.

I have a feeling you're just going off of stereotypes and have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

I agree. Atlanta has far more smog and than London. The weather does suck there, but it's a fantastic city to go visit.

The weather is not the best, but it's along the same lines as you would find in the Seattle area and it's certainly no worse than NFL areas like Buffalo or Green Bay.

I'm not in favor of expansion to Britain for the reasons I stated in my earlier post, but the rampant stereotyping of the area is way off.

They must have cleaned it up quite a bit, cause for a long time London was a filthy city.

As far as Scotland and Ireland, I hear both are absolutely gorgeous. I would love to visit Ireland someday.
