Goose Gosselin on the Schottenheimer hire

Am I the only one who remembers the Dan Campbell hire being celebrated by many? He had been a name ever since his interim HC days, and then got “tutored” directly by Sean Payton as his assistant HC. Once the kneecap biting happened the fans fell in love with him even more.

Why do I feel like some are trying to rewrite history in order to justify schottenheimer? These two situations are nothing alike.

Yup. Was always a fan of his even in his Miami Days.

If anyone thinks a new HC is going to turn things around in Dallas, they need to see a doctor stat. Watch this offseason. If Osa, Lewis, and Golston sign with other teams, along with Turpin, and Jerry does nothing again, what HC do you know that has a pocket full of miracles to make the 2025 season any more successful than the 2024 season?

One reason Jerry could have hired Schottenheimer is because he doesn't plan to do anything this off-season again. So why invest in an expensive HC and staff knowing this season will go down the tubes just like 2024?

We have to give up hope that Jerry is going to do something in teh off-season because all that does is set us up for more disappointment, frustration and anger. Expect nothing and maybe we will be pleasantly surprised.

This is odd because I can't agree with the idea that Gosselin is some Jerry defender. He's been one of the most vocal local critics of Jerry. Gosselin came from Pittsburgh (he knew Jimmy from when he was at Pitt) and has criticized Jerry ever since the Jimmy breakup. He's always talked about how flawed Jerry's rosters are.
