*Commanders suck without Rogers, old DL, Jason Campbell is lame, No Taylor/Jansen..devastated by injuries..stopping Portis is key..they are giving up big plays on defense

* Cowboys #2 in his power rankings

* Cowboys fans believe lack of respect... Goose points out national games, favorable schedule...ie dismisses this view.

* Past draft talk- Vince Young failing because he can't make play with his arm, lousy WRs, Lindale White is pretty good, but QB must make plays with his arm

* NFL rules, helmet-to-helmet: changing rules to the detriment of defense

* McFadden talk: will have to give up a lot of value, 2 late firsts not gonna get it done. Matt Ryan falling in value

The scariest thing about the Giants to me is that we will have to beat them three times to get to the SB.That's a hard thing for any team. all this SB talk is bugging me, we haven't won a playoff game yet, its way to early, what will beas improtant down the stretch is who does/doesn't have injuries, thats the problem with the skins now...

I was talking about that with a friend the other day. I'm not sure what the numbers are, but beating a team 3 times in one year is pretty hard to do. If we meet them in the playoffs, it'll be interesting.

I don't like using the S word either. When or if this team is sitting in the NFC Championship game then I will start thinking SB

Well, we beat the Giants 3x if that's what it takes. They don't scare me at all! Only thing that can stop us is the aforementioned injury bug. But we were lucky last year and maybe so this yr if we play our cards right.

If the relative standings stay the same as they are today I believe the Giants would have to play at GB in the playoffs. If they were to beat GB, which I doubt, then we would have to play them again in the NFC Championship game assuming we won our 1st playoff game.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Dallas will have a bye if all goes as it is going now. The Giants will have to win in the first round of the playoffs before they face Dallas again. There is no guarantee that the Giants will be able to defeat a playoff team, any playoff team. So I am not worried about seeing the Giants again.

At this point if 2 of 3 teams (NY,GB and Dallas) are not in the NFC championship game I would be very surprised so I think it is about a 50/50 shot we would see them again.

I wouldn't dismiss not only the Giants winning on the road in the first round, but also the Lions. The home teams (currently Seattle and Tampa Bay) are not high quality by any stretch.

True, but the Giants still have to beat them.

I expect this season like every season is going to get crazy as teams make a push for the playoffs. How things stand today will look much different at the end of the reg season.

I disagree with the big bird on this one btw, I think if the Gnats get swatted by the Loins then they will implode.

Lions can't protect Kitna and they can't run the ball. The Giants will be pinnng their ears back and going after him. Kitna will be lucky to make it through this game IMO.

I think that if the Giants made the playoffs, they would probably face GB. Assuming we have home field advantage, then GB probably meets the Giants. I'd imagine that the Giants are going to end up having the best WC record so that would probably mean that they play GB. I don't think they match up very well with GB. JMO.

While the Giants probably are the 3rd best team, they cannot be seeded any higher than 5th (division winners get 1-4). That means they'll play the lowest seeded division winner (probably TB or NO), so if Seattle wins their wild card game, we play the Giants. If the Skins/Lions upset Seattle, we play them

But in the first game the Giants would face the worst Division winner Right?

In this case Tampa at this point. Giants would win that one I would think and if the Seahawks got the worst WC team and beat them wouldn't Dallas get Giants and GB get Seattle (if Dallas had #1 seed in the NFC)?

We don't have to beat them three times. We only have to beat them once.... maybe.
