1st Round RB at 22

McFadden Gone
Menenhall gone
Stewart Probably gone, if there take him
Jones thinks Dallas should take him

Bubble Charles, Johnson

1st Round WR at 28

Kelly Gone
Thomas Gone
Sweed available
Jackson available Thinks Dallas should take him

mentioned a Boise State CB in the 2nd round, thinks Talib will be there at 28, thinks it's possible Jenkins is there, still says take WR, hrmm likes Jackson over Sweed because of return skills, and the wrist

FWIW says value is at the RB spot at 22, WR spot at 28 and CB in the 2nd round, bleh

Felix, Johnson, and Charles are not value at 22.

But hey, we're inviting every 1st round corner to VR this year, so I know, let's just assume we'll pick a RB at 22. Goose gets our pick wrong every year, though, so this is no surprise.

Forget that no-talent-a%*-clown Goose...
What was impressive was that this recap thread is more abbreviated than Goose's actual speaking sentence structure, which is truly amazing. Nicely done, Dude.

I wait on RB. CB at 22. CB, FS, or WR at 28 unless we can trade it. RB in round 2 or 3.

I'm guess you meant Goose thinks Dallas should take him? Not Jerry?

Or is the Jones Felix?

Yeah, I think you're right. I should've seen that.

I guess I thought that might have been referring to Stewart above because I can't see Felix going at 22.

BTW, I doubt Stewart is gone at 22, especially with the toe surgery.

But then we all know that Goose magically goes from being a draft idiot to a draft savant about 18 hours before the first pick.

Draft Cb with #22 or use it to trade up for cb, #28 for wr/rb depending on who is left. I still like Charles in the 2nd round.

If I had my dream draft in the 1st round (besides getting D Mac who I think would put us way over the top on offense)

I would like

1a: Malcom Kelly

1b: Mike Jenkins

Mike Jenkins @ 28 considering DRC isn't there for some reason.

Without knowing the true state of our situation at WR I think the 1st 2 picks are going to be a CB & RB.

If we think Glenn is to much of a risk to rely on then I could see us trading up for Kelly with that 1st pick since this WR draft class is so AVG

A more likely scenario would be Jenkins @ 22 and Kelly @ 28.

I don't think he was a top 20 pick before refusing to work out. He's simply not as good a prospect as Bowe or Meachem last year and they weren't top 20 picks.

People want to hold Goose's feet to the fire for what he says in March, but teams are still in data collection mode at this stage. Anyone who thinks they have an idea about how they think the draft is going to go right now is an idiot or a liar. NFL teams don't even know. Sure, Goose might get a vague range for where players will go, but they don't start making up their boards until their draft meetings a few days before the draft. That's why it's hilarious that people get ridiculed for going against "conventional wisdom" when there is no conventional wisdom at this point. Everyone is just pulling things out of their collective rear end or just regurgitating what they heard from another rumor monger. Everyone wants answers, but there are no answers to be had right now. Everything is still in the ether.

So, Goose shouldn't be ridiculed for pulling things out of his rear?

LOL @ the idea that there isn't a considerable amount of consensus being formed and a good amount of information out there in order to begin seriously predicting where players are going to go. Just about everything but half the pro days are behind us -- college production and Combine performance are in the books.

But Goose thinks Roy Williams is a 3-4 OLB, so I guess we shouldn't expect him to actually be able to recognize that information when it hits him in the face.

Like I said, there may be a cloudy range where players are going, but nothing will materialize until the scouts meet with their general managers, coaches, and personnel departments to weight things against team needs and their draft boards are formalized.

It doesn't seem like www. 40- year-old -virigin - internet - draftnik- living - in-his-moms-basement.com that everyone seems to be forming their consensus off and preaching as gospel this timedoesn't seem to know what's going on. If he did, you would think he could beat Goose maybe one of these years on accuracy ... just on fluke or something.

My mock beat the pants off his last year. But that was probably a fluke.
