You know...I've been saying all along that it's not too far-fetched to see Peterson fall to us at nine.
The fact that there was no FA has really made this draft unique. Teams will be desperate to fill holes...especially at QB.
Look at this:
Carolina: Newton
Denver: Dareus
Buffalo: Miller
Cinnci: Green
Arizona: Gabbert (I know most signs point to defense, but teams get stupid about QBs)
Cleveland: Jones (PP is a great possibility here, but the Browns need a WR and may be worried about teams trading up to get him)
San Fran: Quinn: Reports are they would jump all over PP, but pass rushers are usually higher priority. Plus, they are reportedly one of the teams trying to trade down. They may be a target for the Pats.
Tennessee If they go with BPA, then PP could be drafted here. But there really have been no reports connecting PP with them. I think they are a team that will need to draft a QB...if reports are accurate, they could shake round one big time....Dalton
Dallas Again, this would be a dream come true. But I really don't think it's as improbable as some think. Patrick Peterson
Now, I don't pretend to know what other teams think. But I have seen stranger things happen. Peterson may be the best "Football Player" in the draft. But there are legitimate questions about what position he'll play in the NFL. This could cause a slide...albeit a small one. But even a small slide could get him to us.
Personally, I don't see this scenario playing out. I think we'll see two or three teams trade out of the top ten.
Anyway, food for thought.
