I'm all for it. If he comes here though I hope he cuts those dreads- less weight/more aerodynamic!
Ok... so who at 27?
Anyone but a Wisconsin rb in the first round, these guys are system runners and none have lived up to the hype on the next level.
Ron Dayne
Montee Ball
Michael Bennett
P.J. Hill
Terrell Fletcher
John Clay
All of these guys have put up great numbers at Wisconsin but fizzled out In the NFL.

With the exception of Ron Dayne, none were as good of a prospect as Gordon. And in today's NFL, prospects similar to Ron Dayne aren't rated nearly as high as they were in 2000 or so
For the most part I agree, **. I do, however, think AP changes the whole deal. I'm not going to lock myself in a closet and declare our season over if we do not somehow get the guy. I just happen to think that he improves our chances pf a Super Bowl appearance X2 if he's in Dallas.
Like most (reasonable posters) I also have my limits. When the asking price reaches the 1st round zip code or his contract demands get past the Murray numbers, I'm out.
Malcolm Brown and Mario Edwards Jr, I think if we solidify the dline the everything else will take care of itself.
After what Stephen said today, every RB in this draft is praying they become a Cowboy.
None of them are anywhere near the prospect that Gordon is.
This is why I hate the college argument. Look at the individual, not the program.
ME Jr. at 27? No thanks.

I would support this. Don't think he'll be there though.
LSU players drafted by the Cowboys
If there's one thing I know about the draft, it's that no one will be available whenever it is we are picking. No one.
I also dont like OU wrs, LSU players drafted by the Cowboys and Oregon qbs.
Basically that he didn't see the Cowboys trading draft picks for veteran players (ala AP). He didn't say anything about not trading veteran players (Carr) for veteran players (AP), however. It's all salesman speak right now anyway.
Like Mark Twain said: a lie makes it half way around the world before the truth even gets it's shoes on. It's liar's season right now more than any time of the year.
Actually, British pastor Charles Haddon Spurgeon deserves the credit for that quote. He appropriated it from a proverb in 1855 -- when Mark Twain was only known as Sam Clemens at age 20.
I'd draft Wisconsin linemen because the have a good track record in the NFL. How do we know that it wasn't the oline in the case of Gordon just like his predecessors, history is not on his side.
