Got any pet cats for our late round picks?

Jonathan Dowling (FS, Western Kentucky)
Dri Archer (WR/RB, Kent State)
L'Damian Washington (WR, Missouri)
Isaiah Burse (WR, Georgia)
Tyler Starr (OLB, South Dakota)

He could be there in the later rounds. Poor man's Manziel. I'd prefer Garoppolo though.

He does not make as many plays as Manziel though. Plus he has a weird delivery that I think will drive QB coaches crazy.

DE Kasim Edebali, Boston College
S Alden Darby, Arizona State
WR Shaquelle Evans, UCLA
TE A.C. Leonard, Tennessee State
OLB Carlos Fields, Winston-Salem State

GT Running Back Robbie Godhigh

Could be the next Danny Woodhead I think. Can get him in the 7th or possibly as a UDFA

The only drawback is that he is relatively inexperienced in both catching the football, running detailed routes and being a pass blocker due to the system GT runs.

I think he would really need some work to be the kind of receiver Woodhead is.

That's what worries me about the kid, also. Especially the pass blocking aspect. When he's in the game, the defense is going to be tipped off pretty well that it is a run or screen due to his lack of stature and inexperience in the passing game.

Trey Millard, FB, Oklahoma
Jalen Saunders, WR, Oklahoma State
Jeff Mathews, QB, Cornell
Matt Hall, OT, Bellhaven
Vinnie Sunseri, S, Alabama
De'Anthony Thomas, RB, Oregon (My yearly obsession with a RB from an Oregon school)
Larry Webster, DE, Bloomberg

I think Trey Millard should be our target in the 4th round, but I'm not sure he is going to last that long. My guess is he will be gone by the end of the 3rd round. BTW Saunders is a great player but plays for OU not OSU.

Actually Godhigh caught alot of passes in this offense and has great hands for a back.

He led GT in receving this season...here are his stats.

Catches 23 Yards 471 AVG 20.5 TDS 2 Long 43 YPG 36.2

He's easily just as good of a receiver as Woodhead

The most important trait for an A-Back in the flexbone is your perimeter run/cut blocking. So while he didn't do much pass blocking he did do ALOT of run blocking and he was very good at it. I would expect him to be a fairly good pass blocker, or better than the average college kid coming in.

I realized that about Saunders after it was too late to edit it.

"Jason" Garrett Gilbert, QB, SMU. The kid can ball and would be a steal in the 4th.

Note: There is a write-up on him in the DMN today.

There is no way we should be spending a fourth round choice on a fullback.

Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, Eastern Illinois - Hopefully a strong possibility due to the Eastern Illinois connection, although I could see Saints snatching him up too, because Payton has same connection too. I like this guy's "it" factor. I've heard him compared to both Romo, and Aaron Rodgers. Check him out:

James White, RB, Wisconsin - this guy is very underrated, I think he has pro bowl potential at the next level. Has great vision, balance, and ability to make people miss tackles with his wicked "jump cut", not to mention a great nose for the endzone in goaline situations. Check him out:

Bishop Sankey, RB, Washington - A cutter and slasher who has good vision and sets his blockers up well. Not a homerun hitter though. Still like his feel for the game. Check him out:

You have a good eye for talent. Saunders is a guy who seems to always get open. If I remember correctly he isn't a very big receiver, and that should push him down most draft boards. My guess is he can be had in the 4th or 5th round.

This. 6th and beyond would be a good spot for Millard.

This isn't an average fullback. The guy has 4.4 speed, can catch the ball and is a one man wrecking crew as a blocker. He won't last until the 5th round. Picture a much faster Moose Johnston who is a threat to take it to the house and score. If he is healthy I predict he will go somewhere around the late 3rd round. Probably the most versatile fullback to come out of the college ranks in the last 20 years. If fullback was a more coveted position he would be a first round pick.

The majority of starting fullbacks in this league were not even drafted. I would maybe burn one of the 7th round picks, but that is the extent of it.

I like Millard and think he will be drafted by someone but not before the 6th round.

Agree. But as Alexander states, starting fullbacks are not a premium pick in the first four rounds. I do expect him to be drafted in the 6th.

All I can say is that you are massively overrating him, almost to the point of absurdity. Per most rankings, he is not even considered the hands down best pure fullback in this class, let alone in the last 20 years.

Big thing is he tore knee ligaments in October, so I doubt this 4.4 speed you are talking about will be the case (4.53 is the best I have seen for him).

I think he is about 6'2, 260 and some teams might see him doing some TE type functions. If they do, then he might go higher than a 7th; however, with the injury it seems doubtful to be much higher.
