Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, Eastern Illinois - Hopefully a strong possibility due to the Eastern Illinois connection, although I could see Saints snatching him up too, because Payton has same connection too. I like this guy's "it" factor. I've heard him compared to both Romo, and Aaron Rodgers. Check him out:

James White, RB, Wisconsin - this guy is very underrated, I think he has pro bowl potential at the next level. Has great vision, balance, and ability to make people miss tackles with his wicked "jump cut", not to mention a great nose for the endzone in goaline situations. Check him out:

Bishop Sankey, RB, Washington - A cutter and slasher who has good vision and sets his blockers up well. Not a homerun hitter though. Still like his feel for the game. Check him out:

James white is a baller…. Him and Monte Ball were great together at Wisconsin.

First you hire a QB coach then draft Logan Thomas as a late round project.

Logan Thomas is garbage unless you want him to play goal line RB and short yardage RB. NO to QB. He's a terrible passer. Tebow may throw a better ball ;0

Not a fan by any stretch, but he is not Tebow bad.

By position:
QB - none really. Gun to my head, Logan Thomas. He could play TE if it didn't work out. His accuracy is off-the-charts bad but he really hasn't had weapons at Va Tech the last 2 years.
RB - James Wilder, Jr. Florida State. Poor man's DeMarco Murray.
FB - Jay Prosch Auburn. I really like this kid but will probably merit a higher pick than I'd like to spend on a fullback.
TE - Nope, No way, can't do it.
WR - Bruce Ellington, South Carolina. He may go too high to be a Day 3 pet cat. I also like Pitt's Devin Street. Noel Grigsby (San Jose State) is someone I hope we look at as an UDFA.
C - Tyler Larsen, Utah State. He always impresses me.
G - Viliami Moala, Cal. He's a DT, I think he's a Guard.
T - Cameron Fleming, Stanford. Probably shouldn't have come out early. Developmental pick.

DT - I really hope we are investing early picks here but later on I like Cal's Deandre Coleman.
DE - Larry Webster, Bloomsburg. Been watching him for 2 years now. Great length and footwork.
LB - Ronald Powell, Florida. He was the nation's top recruit a few years back. He can also play DE on passing downs.
S - Like DT, I really like the earlier guys. Later on I like Jemea Thomas (Georgia Tech), Alden Darby (Arizona State), and Sean Parker (Washington).
CB - Stanley Jean-Baptiste and Keith McGill are rising so I'll go with Bene Benwikere from San Jose State. I also like Antone Exum (6-0, 220 lbs) if he can recover from his injury.

Dri Archer or Deanthony Thomas. They can help immediately in the return game and give us snaps at various positions. I have a feeling they might go high if they run as expected at the combines though.

Actually Godhigh caught alot of passes in this offense and has great hands for a back.

He led GT in receving this season...here are his stats.

Catches 23 Yards 471 AVG 20.5 TDS 2 Long 43 YPG 36.2

He's easily just as good of a receiver as Woodhead

The most important trait for an A-Back in the flexbone is your perimeter run/cut blocking. So while he didn't do much pass blocking he did do ALOT of run blocking and he was very good at it. I would expect him to be a fairly good pass blocker, or better than the average college kid coming in.

I juts don't trust a kid of his size to be able to match up in a blitz pick up. This is the big boys' game, now. It wouldn't break my heart to take a peak as an UDFA and bring the kid into camp to see what he's got, but there's no way I burn a draft pick on him with our current lack of depth at other crucial positions. Thanks for the vids, though. The kid does have some pep in his step, for sure.

Well in reality if you draft a guy like him you aren't gonna be asking him to stay in and block much..lol

You are trying to get the ball to him in space with screens, dump-offs, etc...so it's a kinda a moot point.

CowboysZone ULTIMATE Fan
Tre Boston, Safety UNC
Bryn Renner, QB. UNC

Ahhh a UNC fan, while Thomas will be taken by the 5th round, your boy renner will fall off the board and end up with a promising career in the CFL, if he's lucky.

All I can say is that you are massively overrating him, almost to the point of absurdity. Per most rankings, he is not even considered the hands down best pure fullback in this class, let alone in the last 20 years.

Big thing is he tore knee ligaments in October, so I doubt this 4.4 speed you are talking about will be the case (4.53 is the best I have seen for him).

We will have to agree to disagree. If he has completely healed up prior to the draft, I do not see any way that he lasts until the 7th round. He should be a great pro.
