I have good feelings about this guy. He has experience. He played well for Pittsburgh well Palalalamamamamallu went out and fans here are still crying that he left. He played under Kiffin. I think he is a starter.

No ball skills, I'm dying to have a playmaking safety that at least poses some threat to QBs throwing deep and between the hashes.

I think my girlfriend could start 16 games and have as many passes defended as Sensy just by standing in one spot.

Hasn't had an interception in 8 years, and has averaged a fraction of a PD a year since then. Has also averaged less than 20 tackles a season since like 2007. Last time he was with Kiffin.. Kiffin benched him.

He's not good..

I really hope he isn't a starter. That means the young safties, namely Johnson, aren't developed.

Will Allen has been in the league a long time and has never nailed down a starting spot for any significant amount of time for a reason. He's ok, but certainly not anything special. If Johnson is healthy and can't beat out Allen his future is in serious question.

Will Allen should be veteran depth. I really really really hope Matt Johnson is the safety they think he is because I don't want Will Allen to be our starter.

Akwasi Johnson Wilcox will be another failed project, just don't see the kid being this John Lynch type everyone makes him out to be. Throw in durability issues, small school transition phase and the fact we have some electric receivers on our schedule this years makes me hope Carr and Claiborne stay healthy and play lights out all year because I dont see them getting much help from the guys behind them.

Bingo.

I hope he can just be competent. I don't expect much. Career part time player for a reason.

On paper we must have the worst/least experienced S group in the league.

I fear you're right but hope you're not.

I agree to some degree. I'm glad Allen is part of the team since he's really the only vet presence at the position. I like that he'll be able to come in immediately if there's an injury.

I also wouldn't be surprised to see him as the starter in week one. I just hope that as the season progresses, he plays less and less. We may very well see a situation where we are looking at different starters depending on packages until someone stands out. The sooner that happens the better, but it may not be week one.

I can tell you right now, Matt Johnson will be the starter, barring injury of course.
