The show - Gotham

A for effort
A for Jim Gordon

Overall: C+

I would rate it higher but they rushed so much in pilot.
Obviously, it's because of marvel.

It could go either way. Great or cheese. Hoping for great.

I really liked the guy who plays Gordon performance in "Southland". He is the only hope for the show starting off. It's only the pilot, though, so improvement hopefully will come.

Episode 2 just catapulted this show into:

- very deep and interesting
- a must watch

Almost seems like they wanted to almost completely set the stage in episode one and then the writing went big time!

Check it out!

I saw the pilot. Still have to catch up though. Interesting seeing the genesis of not only Gordon but several major characters in the universe in that pilot.

I didn't see the show so I cant rate it but the whole concept was not appealing to me. Gotham without Batman just doesn't seem right.

Nice recap

Who were the child abductors?

It is disappointing that they are not tying the show to the future superman v batman movie.
It was their only chance to leap frog back into the race with marvel.

I don't know how they would tie it into the movie since this is long before Bruce becomes Batman. I don't think everything needs to tie in to compete with Marvel. Tell good stories and make good movies. It doesn't have to follow the same formula of Marvel where every movie is tied together. Arrow is good and it isn't tied to any of the movies; however, it will be tied to The Flash.

Yeah I hear ya... But... Avengers was good... Real good. DC and a few more green lantern bombs and they will sink

I agree they need to stop making stinkers like Green Lantern. It wouldn't have made things better if the Green Lantern universe was tied into the Dark Knight universe. Just make a better Green Lantern movie. Make a more interesting story.

I like it so far. Mark my words. Gordons partner shot the Waynes...

How would they tie it in? The show was advertised, all along, as Gotham before Bruce Wayne is ever Batman. So I'm not sure how you'd tie it into the upcoming movie which takes place long after Bruce is Batman. They're in two very different parts of the timeline.

The Child Abductors I don't know who they were for the show, which was a little disappointing, because I thought what they were doing was tieing it to the comic/cartoon storyline of the guy who lived in the sewers, abducted children, and taught them to steal for him. This was just a random situation for them to use to build up Gordon as a detective.
