There is much talk as of recent as to whether or not our core is garbage, average, or solid. So I went thru the roster and here's the list of starters from oldest to newest on the team or in the league.

Home Grown:

Flozel Adams (12yrs) B
Andre Gurode (8yrs) B
Bradie James (7yrs) C
Terence Newman (7yrs) B+
Tony Romo (7yrs) B+
Jason Witten (7yrs) A+
Patrick Crayton (6yrs) C
Marion Barber (5yrs) B
Jay Ratliff (5yrs) A+
Marcus Spears (5 yrs) B
DeMarcus Ware (5yrs) A+
Miles Austin (4yrs) B
Anthony Spencer (3yrs) B-
Mike Jenkins (2yrs) A

FA's/Trades:
(These range from 1-5 years on the team.)

Keith Brooking (12yrs) A-
Leonard Davis (9yrs) B+
Marc Colombo (8yrs) B+
Kyle Kosier (8yrs) B
Ken Hamlin (7yrs) B
Roy Williams (6yrs) B-
Igor Olshansky (6yrs) B
Mat McBriar (6yrs) A+
Gerald Sensabaugh (6yrs) B
L.P. Ladouceur (5yrs) B

Things that have been questioned the most:

Leadership: C
Accountability: C
Execution: C
Heart: C
Coaching: F
Play Calling: C
Schemes: C

We rack up a lot of penalties, that's a telling fact. As far as talent, I don't know how that can be over rated....

now read back over that list with an unbiased mind and see how ridiculous it is to have Romo the same grade as the other B's you listed

Romos a B+? And Brookings an A-?

Larger point though it is a good group. And Im afraid they might be wasting the prime years of Romo, Witten, Ware, Ware and Ratliff especially.

Ahh but Romo is a B+, not just a B. Why don't you copy and paste the list and re-grade it how you see it. Romo is an A+ scrambler but as a passer he's a B+ in my book. That's not exactly terrible. Why is that biased? It's an opinion. What do I have to gain by being biased against my own team???

B/C Romo is a top 5 QB. And the B+ passer is breaking all kinds of records and making Miles Austin a millionaire. Brooking is a rental at best who has impacted the team how?

Romo is Top 3 in scrambling but as a passer he hasn't been clutch, especially in the redzone. A lot of our big scores have come from players running it in from a distance. But he does have some really nice stats between the 20's.

Brooking has brought leadership, fire, and accountability to this defense. His heart alone is 2nd to none right now in my book. Feel free to copy, paste, and re-grade the list.

Brookings only firing himself up then. Isnt the run D about the same as last year?

I think its tough in the red-zone b/c teams can key on Witten and the other WR's dont get open consistently. DB's arent scared of Miles deep at the 15 yard line.

Your list isnt awful. Just overrating Brooking and underrating Romo. Watch what happens God forbid if Kitna went in for just one series.

Awww :(

I was about to read it but typed up my post 1st.

Did you admit the Commanders franchise is factually inferior to the Cowboys in every way?

The D is way better than last year. The high scores against us have come from turn overs and a short field mostly.

Your next statement sounds like an excuse.

If Romo went down Kitna would get sacked into next week, maybe even injured. Like I said Romo is a Top 3 scrambler and he makes this o-line look better than it is half the time...

Adam posted a stat where our points given up off TO's and returns were better than average.

I think Sensy is an improvrment at SS. Jenkins and Spencer are really devolping nicely. If the D is better its b/c of them. Brooking isnt standing out to me in any way. And the sooner Jason Williams develops the better.

W/ Romo I dont see him miss guys wide open. RW rarely gets more than a step and he fits it in there. I just dont see him as just passable. Hes an exceptional player.

Tony Romo has the same grade as T-Toast, I mean T-New???

McBriar, the punter, is rated higher than Romo???

Freaking Marcus Spears is a B and Romo is a B+ ???

So Romo is slightly better than a JAG DE, the same talent as CB that gets toasted more than pancakes at IHOP, and is not as good as the punter???

Is this meant to be a joke???

well aas a Newman hater beast you are all wet. I do not think that Romo is a top 5 QB and McBriar IS a top 5 punter, so that is a fair grade. Right now Ware and Ratlif and Witten and McBriar are the only top 5 players at thier positions that we have on the team so they all should get A+. Now step down from that and you could have some arguments about the rest of the team.

I agree with this big time.

Mat McBriar should be an A+++++.

Roy Williams B- :laugh1: I'll be generous and give him a C. We are probably talking about the most overated player in league.
