Got needs and some very good players to push starters and play special teams. Here are the negatives that I have dismissed as unfounded, premature, or just spouted by negative know-it-lls.

1. JJ screwed it up as usual, because i read it somewhere
2. The experts give us a bad grade, so it must be bad
3. We should have taken X, or Y, or Z
4. Because they did not do what i wanted, they are stupid
5. Can anyone think of any more of these mantras?

6. Not many around the forums were talking about Frederick and the few times he was brought up, I was assured the team had no interest in him because he didn't run a sub 5.0 40 and the team only wanted zone blockers now days.

Bad pick

It was funny that everytime Frederick's name was brought up pre-draft, that some posters said his 40 time was too slow and Callahan wanted quick, nimble linemen. I have brought up the point that Callahan has not brought in the first zone lineman since he was hired. He still hasn't. Callahan is running a man blocking scheme and using some zone concepts at certain times. Some of us figured that out when Livings, Bernadeau and Leary were some of his picks to be brought in. They are far from being zone types. They are now running a blocking scheme much like the 90s Cowboys which is a scheme Garrett knows. That makes much more sense than saying that they were going full zone.

Naw.

They're running zone and have done a terrible job finding players to fit the scheme.

I've heard that before.

Great Draft, can't recall the last time we had a bad draft. Kudos to the FO. We are on our way to the Superbowl gentlemen.

7. Sarcasm makes whatever you say sound more profound :)

Well you cant be dissatisfied with this draft unless you want to be persecuted for your opinions. Its funny because I was one of those positive guys when we had our Jason Williams, Beuhler draft and we all know how that turned out. Just been down this road so many times and I know better now.

I wouldn't call it a great draft. It could potentially be a great draft. I think all of these guys are potential players.

2 problems though.

The first round reach & the lack of linemen taken.

It's hard to look at these players and think they won't be good though but it just wasn't worth passing on so many linemen.

The funny one was people claiming you have to be an "athletic" lineman to play in a ZBS. People that have no freaking idea what they're talking about.
