No, this won't be that long but I gotta get something off my chest.

Your expectations are yours, own them but don't expect a team to live up to them and then take it out on them with all of these fire this coach or cut this player stuff after one game.

I expected the Cowboys to beat the Rams, 28-20, based on my knowledge of the Rams last season and their problem with their OL. Well, they fixed that, for one game anyway, and they have a very good offensive HC that had an excellent game plan, just as he did when he ran the ball down their throats in a playoff game with a backup RB.

In those great expectations, did they include overcoming the loss of a starting MLB, TE and backup RT? Did they take into account an OL a shadow of it's former self and the QB would have to play with the DL in his backfield all night and the RB would have to show just what a power back does.

In forming your expectations, did you take into account that neither the HC or DC has been able to incorporate their design for this team? And injuries are going to delay that further.

It's OK to be disappointed, even angry, but after a couple of days, it's time to look forward and not back any longer.

I don't know what to expect this Sunday against the Falcons, they're a tough matchup with the Cowboys at 100% and they'll not be close to that. Ryan sure as hell isn't scared of them, he loves playing the Cowboys.

Manage your expectations or they will manage you and this forum has gone whiner worse than any other time I've seen it.

Go ahead, let me have it, unload on me. Ya see, I am expecting that.

"it's time to look forward and not back any longer."

it's just kinda worn out coach..it's been 25 years..

I read that about 45 years ago. That Pip was quite an interesting little feller.

If they try that drop back and go after our secondary then they will have a long day. We do have a pass rush but you can’t do that when the ball is out in 2 seconds. My guess is they will try to run early and short passes. And that’s what we will be working on this week.

Our O-Line will be better now that they don’t have to deal with the best DT in the league pushing them around. We will run the ball and use play action. I do however expect to see a few wrinkles and not the same vanilla Offense. There defense isn’t as good as their offense.

Will be a chess match. If we make them 1 dimensional we may give up a few big plays as they like going down the field but our D-Line is built for a push. And pass rush.

A game under our belt and learn.

They were running the ball well with Gurley in the first half but then the SEA O took them out of their game plan. Need to make them one dimensional because Ryan's a statue in the pocket.

Bro. That’s what I am wanting to do. Let’s see if these pass rushers are for real. Aldon will be in his face all day, now he got away with shot to the face without a flag but so did donald. The refs let them play till the end.

Shazbot...

If I'm an Mork from Ork just arriving from another planet and reading this Board for the first time, I'm thinking:

. Jerry Jones needs perspective
. Mike McCarthy is a fraud
. Kellen Moore should be fired
. Dak is mediocre
. Dak is good enough
. Dlaw's time is up
. Jaylon is incompetent
. Safeties are incompetent
. Oline is a dumpster fire
. Schultz has zero value or upside - and cannot catch or run deep enough
. Zeke did ok... this week
. Cooper cannot catch
. Referees are biased
. Sean Lee and LVE spawned from a glass factory

Pleez... the whole universe knows if the Cowboys had only gotten Jamal Adams, they would have won...

That was a Julius Fucik performance, promise Me Gladiators and give Me Clowns.
Still, it's week one, too early for booing and hooing.

Sure....its real early....

BUT...losses against two NFC teams (tiebreaker) that arent exactly viewed as within the upper echelon of the conference to begin the season would put them in a bit of a hole.

A lot of people spent the summer convincing themselves the Cowboys are a "loaded" Super Bowl or bust team. An honest comparison of position groups vs elite teams tells us they are not, and it showed on Sunday.

The problem is that people define the echelons before the ball is ever snapped.

LAR talent-wise is as good as anybody in the conference, and ATL's offense can win a lot of games on its own. They're both just as competitive as SF, DAL, SEA and whoever else.

Most rabid fans during the off season wear giant “Fan glasses” with the lenses tinted rose. Every draft pick and FA we sign is always going to be really good before they have ever played a down here. Throw in a new head coach, who replaced the whipping boy puppet HC everyone was ready to tar and feather, and we have a recipe for fan anger when the first game doesn’t lay out according to plan.

I got fried in the Zone cookware this week for suggesting before we declare this season a total loss, maybe we should give it some time. I’ve never seen so many people crying for the heads of players and coaches....after 1 of 16.

I actually think this high level of frustration we’re seeing comes from a lot more than this one game. Twenty five years of frustration and disappointment builds steam.
