Hey! you guys know me, and I will not ever be afraid to show up after a loss or a win.

This game turned out like I expected for the most part.
A game the Commanders were in, and still folded.

Props to your team for following through and getting the job done.

Concerns about the Commanders are the pass rush, the pass coverage, the rushing attack, the poor decisions by the coaching staff...etc.

Concerns about the Cowboys, are the pass coverage, the rushing attack, and the lack of offense overall for this game...etc. TO had his moments but the rest of the team was pretty quiet.

I know for a fact that the Commanders lose more close games than any other team in football. That pisses me off.

Cowboys have shown that they can win the close games this season, and will be in the race until the very end this year. Of course it angers me, but I have to give props where they are due.

Commanders D played fairly well so I credit them with that aspect. But again they refused to exploit the advantages they had, and the Cowboys did not hesitate to exploit theirs.

I can't wish you good luck. But certainly hope that this rivalry continues to provide us great games like we saw yesterday.

Thanks S & T. I think you have things to be happy about despite the outcome. I really do. A lot of injuries hampered your team but guys stepped in and played their hearts out. That's all you can ask.

Classy as always.

I thought Campbell played lights out yesterday and we agree that the Secondary play and running game are concerns.

The rivalry is back.

Romo and Campbell will bring alot of the old excitement back in the coming years.

I disagree our offense wasnt good yesterday...! that is a silly statement.

You guys sure exploited our soft zone, and there was a huge gap between the ILB drops and the deep safetys. I think campbell took everything we gave him. You also exploited the fact that we went into a really soft prevent defense wayyyyy too early. Good job by your defense and ST's today... you proved that if you ignore TO it is possible to "shut down" the rest of the Cowboys O'... while giving up 28 pts in the process:rolleyes:

I have to revise my thinking on J Campbell.

I do, however, think that our secondary helped a little in that aspect. Seems like we regressed a bit on D.

Santana Moss is a stud. I hate everything Commanders, but that guy can ball.

TO and Romo had their moments... many...

Romo threw 22 less passes than Campbell and STILL completed 16 of them between Witten and TO... 8 a piece...

Offense wasnt quiet at all...

Campbell had to throw 22 more times to get the same numbers to Moss and Cooley.

Romo and Cowboys smoked the Skins... the soft zone gave Campbell a prayer....

Thanks for returning. The Skins have a good team this year. I think they beat the Giants in their next meeting, and probably capture the 6th wildcard spot (three teams from the NFC East may just be in again). They have the tiebreaker over the Lions.

Hopefully the Cowboys will have wrapped up the #1 seed by the time we play your squad again in Washington.

Our passing game was real good, .. but our running game was very poor. We should have been able to run the clock out after TNew's INT.

Our run defense was good, but our pass defense worry's me. Especially with Favre on the horizon.

Seems we gave up a lot of field position on kickoffs too.

We are 9-1, but these are things we can still work on to get better.

Very exciting season so far, let's keep it going on Thursday.

The running game was neutralized by both sides

Both average about 3 yards per....

For us.... the Skins forcing us to beat them with the pass wasnt smart

For them.... forcing the Cowboys to stop the pass wasnt smart... they should have stayed with the run more

I think the skins caught us unprepared for what they do in the passing game yesterday.

you couldnt see it on the tv broadcast but from the 2nd quarter all the way through to the end of the game, the defensive sideline was a mess. Guys were going on and off the field, spencer almost made us short a guy 3 times.

Newman took a timeout when henry, watkins and roy had no Idea who was supposed to be on the field. That was in the 2nd qtr. Joe buck and troy aikman said nothing about the confusion and you couldnt see any of it on tv. In the stadium this was repeated all afternoon.

So I dont know if we were suprised, unprepared or just lacking focus. There was more to our poor pass defense yesterday than "these guys suck". However you couldnt see the confusion and screaming and pointing by our guys at each other on tv. Newman nearly blew a gasket when he called that timeout and was yelling at brian stewart.

but in the end we gave up a lot of yards, but not that many points for that kind of passing production.

Nice post. I've gone back and forth on Campbell, but yesterday.......he's obviously the real deal. He just needed some time......like most young QB's. They aren't too far from being a real good team IMO. Stop signing aging Free Agents, draft a big, young receiver, solidify the Oline and look the __________ out.

You guys played a very good game overall -- i would say played over your head like teams do a few times a season (jets yesterday) but that is a credit to the players on Wash.

Unfortunately for GIbbs & co they taught this team/staff another lesson as BUF did, but escaped without the W :)

the boys need some close calls or they seem to go on auto pilot, especially at HOME where with a pathetic, soft crowd. I'd rather play GB on the road myself having watched this team we don't respond at home as we should.

Campbell played VERY well...I was shocked at how well he moved around and stayed focused.

It makes me worry...if Campbell can play this well, how will Favre do against us? They convert any of their FGs to TDs and we're playing from behind at the end...

Thanks for the props. You guys played a LOT better than I was expecting. Jason Campbell had a GREAT game and the one-hander by Moss was phenomenal! Cooley was killing up the middle as usual and your O-Line gave Campbell a lot of time on most plays.

We did a very good job of shutting down the running game and held Portis in check throughout forcing your guys to be one-dimensional. Cartwright consistently got good returns against our coverage teams.

Romo-to-Owens was the difference in the game as your guys never figured out how to cover him without Sean Taylor in the game. Witten made a lot of catches as well when they doubled Owens.

A much closer game than I was hoping for but I have come to always expect a nail-biter when we play you guys.

You've got another tough game next week in Tampa Bay. I am just hoping we are not looking past the Jets on Thanksgiving Day and get surprised like we did against Buffalo. We were able to pull out the win but it was a lot tougher than it should have been. The Packers are on the horizon but our guys need to focus on the job at hand and annihilate the Jets this Thursday.

Good luck.

A stand-up post from a stand-up Skins fan...

I give props to your defense for the overall job they did, even if the Boys did put up 28 points on them... they were like 40 yards under their per game average, and were under their season scoring average as well... it's a measure of how potent the Cowboys' offense is that we can call a 360 yard, 28 point effort a good one on the part of your defense... but especially given the injury to Taylor, that was one fine effort by them...

I also have to give props to Santana Moss, that guy was a wounded warrior yesterday...

On the Cowboys' side of the ball, I'm quite pleased with Jason Garrett's playcalling, he did a magnificent job of exploiting TO... and I was quite happy with the way the Boys shut down your very good rushing attack (the most yards any RB gained on a carry was 6, the RBs combined for 15 carries for 44 yards, under 3 yards per carry)...

A hard-fought game indeed, which made grabbing the W even more enjoyable...

I think you're probably right... with each passing game, Jason looks more and more like the second coming of Patrick Ramsey in Washington... a late first round draft pick who's good enough to give you a couple-three nice games in the course of a season, but when you add up his stats at the end of the season, the numbers are mediocre to rather bad...
