Eddie answer me this would you pay Glover $8 mil to be a backup? He does not fit the 3-4. Dallas was 2mil under the cap without doing any buisness. Dat retiring etc. Glover would have been restructured if he fit on this team.

Oh and Arizonia yeah they are 20mil under but they have never won anything. And they are a big reason right now that the CBA is not getting done. Bidwell does not want to spend money but wants a piece of what the big market teams make.

Jerry and Stephen did an awful job back when the salary cap was put in place around 94. But they have done one hell of a job in recent years since Bill has been here and this team has been competitve. So Great Job Jerry and Stephen!!!

Getting under the cap is one thing. Not having to release quality depth and being able to sign quality FAs are another. Just the facts, m'am.

"quality" is something that is debatable as most of their cuts didn't play much at all and wer injured or were just horrible and were replaced by rookies. Oddly enough i think they will be able to sign some free agents as they always due and the cap hell wanted by pundits and us seems to never have come.

Rivera got hurt getting out of bed.

Fergi had NO motivation to work on his endurance.

Great signings!! Esp for $10 mil each.

Sorry, I'd rather have Glover as a BACKUP than these two clowns starting.

How much would we get for cutting LA?
Hutchinson from Seattle was transition tagged instead of franchised with our excess space we could easily make an offer they couldn't match.

Why do we love patting ourselves in the back??? Before cutting a Pro Bowl DT, we were $2 mil under the cap. Is that such a big hurrah?

If you guys need a list of teams in BETTER cap situation than us, then YOU do the search. But I'm not gonna pat myself on the back and say, "Hey, great job Jerry Jones ... for NOT f*cking things up like you've done from 1995-2005."

How about patting the Arizona Cardinals on the back? They're $20 mil under the cap WITHOUT any cuts. They're not cutting any Pro Bowl players to get under the cap.

Sorry, regardless of what we think of Glover's role, we lost a major contributor to this Defense. I would congratulate JJ if we were able to keep Glover AND be significantly under the cap ... but I guess we gotta feed under achievers like Fergi and Old Man Rivera, and meanwhile lose one of the best players on our D.

Great work!!!

the difference between us and the cardinals, we are on the rise, the cardinals blow and have no one to even pay that money to. as for cutting glover, he didnt fit in the defense, he was aging, and he cost a ton of money. now we are way under the cap and we can get some more young playmakers on the team. so stop being such a pessimist!

The fact is they both got hurt. I wanted Wahle over Rivera but I don't see the point to throwing Rivera under the bus because he got hurt. I can't say for sure, but didn't Rivera get hurt on a treadmill or somehting like that?

I dont get it. I think Rivera really wanted to play for Cowboys(play well, show his stuff) and then when he got hurt I believed him when he seemed dissappointed and like he was letting team down.

Hopefully this year he can erase last year. I give the guy the benefit of the doubt.

Didn't you sign some big FA's last year?

Is this meant to be a slam?

If so, then it's a pretty dumb one. We improved by 3 games, and likely would've won the division had we not suffered a ton of injuries.

Another great offseason, and we could contend. Most pundits agree with that.

I like the idea that we could be 13 mil under the cap, but is it an automatic that LA and Ferguson will restructure thier deals?

What about Fergurson???

Ferguson is a dime a dozen NT who's best days are behind him

Bledsoe is a "name" but is no longer a star-caliber player like Henry or Rivera(when healthy).

It's not Monday 12:01 am yet...

i hope you realize that if you get lucky and the new deal gets does get done, then the skins will be merly 5 mill over the new cap, wich is pretty good because you can get to even rather easily that way. But that would give the cowboys and extra 10 million too! so we would be 28 million under the cap. Just say hello Mr. Bently, Mr. Vinateri, Mr. Ashworth, Mr. who ever the hell we want. while you are at dead even after cutting some players and struggling to sign draft picks.

Yeah, let's slap ourselves in the back for not forking it up like they did in the early 90's.

There are about 20 teams in better cap situation than ours ... but great job!!!:banghead:

Are you serious? The only significant cut we made was Glover.

You tell me, is it wise to pay a player 8 million dollars (or whatever it was) that doesn't fit your scheme and is now a backup?

I know, I know. Everything the Cowboys do is a great move...
