Was it just me or was the first hour a tribute to star wars?
Nearly every scene was straight out of star wars.
The prison cell chuck was in was exactly like the detention area in star wars, then he sat up just like leia. The hallway and the look of the prison area was identical to the star wars detention center.
Then casey being held at gunpoint in the diner was exactly almost frame for frame like hans solo in the bar with that blue guy he shot.
then the watch being given to chuck was symoblic like the light saber obi wan gave to luke.
The whole first hour was filled with this? Did anyone else pick up on this?
Josh schwartz is known to do this kind of thing, with the oc he had scenes that were straight out of 80s movies, like the breakfast club and pretty in pink. And from what I have read chris fedrak is a big star wars fan.
I found it pretty cool and I dont think it was unintentional, the series has done this before.
and I guess we have seen the last of the buy more, Must be they are going to change the overall format of the show! Big mike, jeff and lester dont really have a role anymore, which stinks. The show is so different than the first season. The first season if you go back and watch is hillarious, the show has evolved as all shows do but it kind of takes away a little of the show not having that element.
