I too have had field passes before and was blessed to be able to walk around on the field in Charlotte the year Emmitt broke the record. I got the chance to meet him and take pictures with him. Later that year, he was nice enough to sign my picture I took with him and he signed my jersey... Field passes are sooooo cool. And yes I toooo have pictures to prove it!!!

Well fast forward to 8:30 last night and we're in a taxi to the Giants' hotel (the Hilton DFW) to meet Jerry. I gotta say it, what a good guy he is. Very gracious and down to earth. He is only 46 years old and making all the personnel decisions.

So my buddy and I arrive at DFW yesterday, pumped up knowing that we have 200 level seats fir tonight's game. My friend proceeds to inform me that his wife knows Jerry Reese, GM of the Giants and that she emailed him and there's a chance he could give us field passes. Well fast forward to 8:30 last night and we're in a taxi to the Giants' hotel (the Hilton DFW) to meet Jerry. I gotta say it, what a good guy he is. Very gracious and down to earth. He is only 46 years old and making all the personnel decisions. I asked him if the sports media creates stories from their perspective and he just busted out laughing. He said "I'll see Mortensen on ESPN say he spoke to me and I'll say to my wife 'what? I haven't spoken to him'!". One of my friends asked about the videoboard and he thought that the only way to hit it would be if you were trying. Anyway, some cool tidbits from somebody high up in the biz. After 20 minutes of chatting he texted somebody and said they have 4 field passes left ( there were 4 of us there). He then went upstairs to one of the hotel rooms and came back with 4 field passes!!!! I told him that having met him will soften the blow if we lose because he's a great guy! Anyways, can't wait to roam the field during pre-game tonight.

Go cowboys!!!

I wonder if the Giants would trade Jerry's with us.

Dude, I think you may have been part of the reason the Cowboys lost. If you get tickets or field passes, I think I am going to have to confiscate them from you. I got to do what's right for the Boys and go to the game myself.:laugh2:

- Jacobs finished warming up and then shadow boxed against the goalpost padding that says "Cowboys" on it repeatedly punching it.

- The Giants were stretching on our side of the field and when our guys came out Pierce just stared at them with total anger and said "** ers".

First off great pics. And thanks for sharing.

The quotes above got me thinking. THIS is what Dallas is missing. These two dudes truly hate the Cowboys. And they play like that. THIS is what has been missing with the Dallas Teams as of late. I don't see the chip on the shoulder, or anger as I had seen in the past.

No big, Sorry to take away from the great story and pics. Just something that caught my eye.

IIRC, I was at that preseason game, too. Didn't they have to empty the seating area due to bad storms in the area right before the game was supposed to start? Or am I just older than I thought?
