Kinda mean, but typical of the sarcastic old Bill Parcells. I guess it was mentioned on the 60 Minutes interview with Charlie Weis.

Parcells takes Weis to school
Monday, October 30, 2006
From wire reports

Sunday night, "60 Minutes" took a look at Notre Dame Coach Charlie Weis and his somewhat intense sideline demeanor, asking the question any mother watching will be able to appreciate: What's with the foul language?

Describing himself as an "obnoxious, sarcastic guy from New Jersey," Weis says he honed his talent for verbal abuse at the round table of the master, Bill Parcells.

After Weis had offered advice for the first time at a coaches' meeting with the New York Giants, he recalls Parcells looked "down at the end of the table with a scowl. Says, 'You have been in the league five minutes. No one cares what you think, so just sit there and shut up.' "

From that less than auspicious debut, Weis became Parcells' whipping boy. "I mean, there was no doubt," he says. "The hammer is coming out, and it's being swung and swung hard."

Reminds me of a High School buddy who was a real character. After HS he joined the Air Force and went to Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas for basic training.

His Drill Instructor wasn't as amused by his sense of humor as we all were.

He asked Dave where he was from and he replied, "New Mexico."

He asked Dave how many miles from home he was, and he replied "about 800."

Drill Instructor: "I can't believe you came 800 miles just to piss me off."

Dave said at that moment he knew he wasn't home amongst buddies any more and had better shut up.

That's what Reality said to Yeagermeister at his first mod meeting...

The usual..suffering the effects of procrastination....ie, because of being on this board so much, deadlines are stressing the d-e-a-d.

But that win last night was just thrilling. I had to correct papers while I watched it, so couldn't hang out here, but when we were done by 14, I felt zero panic. The team just had an in-control feel about it, and was playing 'tough", despite the early mistakes.

And you, ABQ? :)

Pretty good. I honestly never thought Romo would turn out to be the QB he looks like he might have a chance to be and it makes me happy to see it. I like seeing people who work hard get rewarded.

It was nice to watch. This week, everything is brighter, food is better, etc. Nice change from the NY game. Tonight, I'm ready to go out and take the kids round for Tricks and Treats. Actually, looking forward to it.

Apparently it didn't work. Yeagermeister has way to many opinions to offer! :laugh2:
