Now if KC goes out and barely beats this same titans team (they dont play each other just using an example) its Mahomes is magic (which he is) and the chiefs grinded it out

That was a rough field to play on today, but we had to win that one to put pressure on the Eagles. Though it's a lower probability they lose both, you have to play when there's a chance to secure higher seeds and host games.

Yeah I'd like to rest guys too, but you can't start that when Philly could very well lose to the saints. We are forcing them to play it out and not punting away the chance at a division title. What kind of message does that send to the team when you pull everyone with a chance at the division? I don't believe players would respond well to it. Jmo

This is what the teams that come to us on Thanksgiving must feel like; and we had an extra day since we played on Christmas Eve.

Edit: Since we only won by 14, and not 114, are we declaring the color rush jerseys as bad luck? Asking for a friend LOL

This had to be one of the dumbest coaching moves I have EVER seen. We may have literally blown any hope of playoff success by taking this game seriously.

This should have been a week to rest and recover. Instead they chose to risk everyone. Dak was getting mauled out there. People were dropping like flies.

Maybe if they rested Dak, he would not throw as many picks. 2 a game.

I agree. I said it in another thread. This game had trap game written all over it. We avoided the trap and beat a team we should beat. We came out flat but still avoided the trap.

Just a few weeks ago many on here had us getting curbed stomped by this team. And they even had injuries back then as well.

One very positive note is the Cowboys have a hot kicker (Brett Maher) going into the tournament (leads league in scoring). and that is no small deal in the NFC.

Great win? We must have watched 2 completely different games.

Bad coaching, injuries, turnovers, failed to put a inferior opponent away..........
The injuries suck. I was hoping for the win, but more importantly wanted everyone out healthy. That did not happen.

It all depends on your perspective. In my eyes, MM has had three years to clean up this operation and has yet to put a polished product out there. Teams need to be playing better then this in December to have a chance in January. The team has been sloppy the last several weeks and have left results up to chance largely.
......and it's going to come back to bite us. I think some posters don't even want to accept or recognize mediocre efforts, thus the bench mark and expectations are low or disquised.

Short week, on the road against a tough defense.

Yea, they rested some players but good job just getting the dub.

I wouldn't object to resting Dak and Parsons.

They're the ones who need to rest the most.

The rest of the C'boys should be OK to play.

If MM wants to play 'em both, that's OK, too.

This team just played a physical division game and had to go on the road 4 days later. They looked tired and still won by 14 points to get to 12 wins for the 2nd straight season. Well done boys.
:yourock::clap:

Very lethargic.....but just win for now and move on. The real question will come in the WC game.

If I were to tell you that we were going to be 12-4 going into week 18 at the beginning of the season I think you would have been happy.
Not at all. This team will be judged by what it does in January.

The way the Cowboys have played lately isn't playoff football.

I don't care if they are 12-4 or 10-6 or 8-8. Means nothing.

Name the team that has looked great in every game they've won this year.

Is it the Chiefs? The Bills? The 49ers? The Eagles? The Vikings? Who has looked great in every game they've won?

You are still playing for 1st in your division, imagine if they did? As unrealistic as it is we will grab the top spot, you don't rest your starters in this situation

I disagree. I think they are are better off accepting the fact they arent winning NFC East.
