All Dorsetts TD runs were a thing of beauty
I never saw a more smooth, gliding style.
He was a very underrated runner as far as physicallity goes. His best runs were down the middle. He also had some great runs off catching the ball.
The best run in history? Wow! Don't know, so many different styles.
Beleive it or not, my pick is the Herschel Walker 85 yard run against the Eagles. He was in the backfield, surrounded by 5 Eagles.
As big as he was, he had Olympic speed, he made an amazing move, got through the line, and created space between himself and the fastest Eagle defenders, turned a seemingly 5 yard loss into an 85 yard TD...virtually untouched.
Go to youtube and search "Herschell Walkers longest Cowboy TD".
Also on the list:
Tony Dorsett 99 yard run....with only 10 men on the field.
Emmitt's 29 yard TD against the Falcons in 1992. He disappears in the line, in a sea of red, the radio announcer, Brad Sham, begins to call him down, when he suddenly reappears, runs around the end and scores as Sham is yelling "Oh, this is the best! This is the very best!"
