Okay,

I know we all have our favorites, but....

Is there really anyone here who thinks Tony D. was a better RB than OJ Simpson? I have followed the Cowboys since 1967, and I've never seen Tony D. come close to having one game, much less a career, to rival what OJ did on the football field.

Why not just announce that your opinions are the only valid opinions and see if everyone follows?

Or someone could make an argument and tell me why they think a certain running back is better...there's a novel approach.

I understand arguments for Jim Brown, Walter Peyton, Emmitt Smith.

I don't understand any argument for the other guys on the list...I'm inviting someone to explain to me why they think some of those guys, like Dorsett, are better...it's not an argument, it's an invitation.

I was actually disappointed when we drafted Dorsett because I was a huge fan of Ricky Bell who went to TB, but obviously Dorsett was a great and fun to watch...I just didn't see him being high on the all time list.

So why?

I'll chime in and partially agree with you. Many people's first love of the Cowboys was seeing Dorsett run. Many never saw OJ Simpson and are tainted by the murders he committed.

Many never saw Brown or Payton. It's a Cowboys forum. It is going to be slanted that way naturally. I understand it even if I don't agree with it. JMO.

Sorry to butt in.

I was going to say something similar, but O.J. (the retired) Simpson remains a sore topic for some, so I didn't.
