You have to admit your prediction that Hardy would show up for training camp was destined to blow up in your face. Hardy hadn't been seen at the facility all spring and summer, no OTA's or mini camps and Stephen Jones confirmed in May the Cowboys had moved on from him but you kept insisting he would show up for training camp. lol Even a week after training camp started you kept saying he would be there. I asked do you honestly believe Hardy will show up before training camp is over and be apart of our 53 man roster and your response was "yup!" You just throw things out there that have no rhyme of reason.
It's called "conviction". Maybe you're not familiar with it. I ate the crow dude, it's time to let it go.

I guess you didn't watch what Dallas did to that awesome Green Bay rushing defense in the 1st game.

Let me refresh your memory:

At the time, Green Bay had the #1 rushing defense in the NFL.

Ezekiel Elliott rushed for 157 yards in that game on 28 carries.

Oh, they rank #5 now, you say? We're really really scared n' stuff!

They have to decide to stop Zeke or cover McFadden now. McFadden at FB, gives a lot of options. As a runner to throw defenses off from focusing on Zeke, or as a receiver out of the backfield.

You are foolish to count the last game against us. We didn't play it to win, the goal was to rest key players and get out of Philly healthy. It was a smart way to end the scheduled games, IMO.

I always had you pegged as a fair weather fan, guess I was right. Dak and the boys are going to kick the Packers butts up and down the field for 4 quarters. I'm not surprised you don't see it coming.

I don't see him as a fair weather fan; sounds like a realist. The constant reliance on the first matchup between our teams is misplaced. We're both much different teams now, and the Packers are as hot and confident as any team in the playoffs. We also bring the best player to the party, so that gives us a chance.

I question whether the Cowboys' approach to Week 17 will come back to hurt them. I've seen the early rest come back to hurt too many teams over the years. The Colts' frequent early exits come to mind.

The fact is that many of the Cowboys' key contributors have not played a game since December 26th. By the time we get to kickoff, that will be nearly three weeks. Tough to predict how that will impact them. I do recall seeing a former RB on TV - it was either Faulk or LT - talk about the rhythm that RBs get into when they play on a weekly basis. He said an extended break can hurt that rhythm. I wonder if it will impact Zeke.

As for the Packers' rushing attack, we'll rely on the 3-back stable: Monty, Michael, and Ripkowski. Monty has impressed with his ability to show patience and make timely reads/cuts. Not bad for a WR-turned-RB. Michael runs hard, but I do worry about his lack of football IQ. That has cost us on a few plays here and there. Rip is a beast. Sounds like you all don't think too highly of him, but he's been able to contribute when he gets the ball. I would not want to take him - the dude runs HARD.

Collectively, it can be a productive group when used properly. We don't have the best run-blocking line - the Cowboys are far superior in that category - but we've had some success when necessary. They'll need to be somewhat successful if the Cowboys go to the 3-2-6 defensive alignment. That would open up the play-action. Of course, when used improperly - like McCarthy running Monty on the 4th & 1 last week - it can be a problem.

Overall, you guys have a huge advantage in the running game, but I think you'll be surprised with how effective the Packers can be running the ball.

You messaged me talking about the Cowboys kicking butt on Sunday so anytime you throw something out there I'll remind of your Hardy prediction. :) There isn't any logic behind what you post, you just throw things at the wall hoping something will stick. Not saying we can't win on Sunday it's possible but it's going to be a tough, hard fought game that's going to come down to the 4th quarter if we do win. I'm talking a real nail-biter that's going to have us on pins and needles. What I notice with some FANS on this board is they can't just predict a win, they have to go all out and predict a butt whipping or throttling.

Some keep going back to the first time we played them expecting the same thing and Green Bay and Rodgers are playing much better now. If we can come up with another 4 turnovers, Dak can put up another 3 TD passes and Rodgers is off his game again, then you might get the same result but I'm not expecting everything to go our way this time around including Rodgers missing open receivers in the end zone.

And you should take my advice and read through the entire thread. Only this time, pay a little attention to the context of my posts. Because if you did, you would see that I am not At all talking about disregarding the running game. Rather, I am talking about using the passing game to open up the running game – EXACTLY AS DALLAS DID THAT FIRST GAME.

Green Bay came out in an eight man front and practically dared Prescott to beat him with his arm. It took eighth place for him to show that he could do that. At that point, Green Bay had to back off and respect the passing game as much as they were respecting the running game. That, in turn, opened things up for Zeke. If Dak had not been accurate in the passing game, Zeke would not have ever sniffed that huge running game yea accurate in the passing game, Zeke would not have even sniffed that huge running game he had.

Dallas needs to come out Sunday and do the same thing. Green Bay will key on the running until Prescott shows he can beat him with his arm. Until he does, Green Bay has no reason whatsoever to do anything but focus on Zeke until Dak gives him something else to be concerned with.

they are finesse team who Doesn't like to get hit. We broke their will the first game by running it down their throat. Gameplan should be the same to start off this Sunday, run it right down their throat on the first drive. That's how we win this game; strictly power
We used to be a finesse team. Worst time of my fan life.

Fun fact; We didn't have Dez out there for the 1st game. This Sunday we will.

I'm thinking we beat GB worse than we did the 1st time.

Let me make this clear… I'm not worried about the Packers in general. In fact, the only way I see Dallas losing this game is if for some reason, they get stubborn and try to run every play, without any attempt to mix in the passing game. If Dak is accurate, Dallas will run for a ton of yardage. If Dak struggles, Zeke is going to have tough sledding as well.

We certainly can't ignore the run or Green Bay could end up catching us so focused on containing Rodgers that they spring a few runs on us. Detroit had one of the worst running games in the league this season but they gashed us in the first half so we have to be prepared for anything.
