If the castaways found a way off the island, how cold the show have continued since it was based of them being stranded?
Naturally they had to continue being stranded to have a show that's why they always had Gilligan foil every attempt the castaways made to get off the island. This would cause the Skipper to hit Gilligan with his hat every episode. I remember watching that show as a kid thinking how odd it was that so many people could find their way on and off the island but the castaways couldn't. They had everything from lost surfers to crates full of missiles wash up on the beach.
They even had a traveling salesmen show up one day carrying a briefcase.
He swindled the Howells out of some money then vanished. The Skipper never seemed to lose any weight on the coconut, papaya and pineapple diet they lived on. Ginger always had her makeup perfect and her and Mr and Mrs Howell always looked like they were on a pleasure cruise during the entire time they were stranded.
Mary Ann was a real piece of....should I say sunshine.
I wouldn't have minded being stranded on an island with her.
The one thing she had going for her over Ginger was that she was willing to get dirty. Just look at them do they look like castaways who've spent years shipwrecked on an island?
