Greg Ellis moaning again

Article in DFW, I can't understand the complaining Greg always does about being worried of his status with the team. He's been the best rusher on the team for years. As I see it, there's an unwritten rule that teams just don't let go of proven pass rushers. He gets offended that the team gets some insurance incase he isn't able to come back. Yet he needs very little reason to start complaining again. He used to be such a class guy. Quit whinning and concentrate on recovery. Everything will take care of itself.

As long as you hand me millions before-hand, we'll see who's crying.

I think you'll find that around here Greg Ellis has lost almost all the sympathy votes.

2005 he whined about the 3-4.

2006 he whined about moving to OLB.

2007 he's whining about his role in the new defense.

The other 2 times it turned out going very well for him. You'd think he might have learned to shut his festering gob. Sadly he hasn't.

Seriously, there are some worrying signs. Ellis' act is getting beyond tired, and Julius Jones' excuse-making is most unwelcome. Phillips better keep them all in line this year.

That is a sure sign of a prima dona. For an over-the-hill injured veteran, he needs to be more solicitous of his employers and be glad he has a paycheck. And a good paying one at that.

If the need arises or the creative spark is there, go to the Mars Needs Women post and give Ellis the moaner a nickname. He deserves a serious re-entry into earth.

if you were lucky enough to play a game you loved and get paid millions to do so, don't you think it would hurt to think you might not have a place in it anymore?
the guy plays hard on sunday, practices hard in the week: let him piss and moan if he wants.

so which is worse - a constant moaner, or people that focus on it to give it more attention that it deserves?

he "used to be" such a class guy.

he still is.

That's alright, just talk your way right out of Dallas. See in the end how many really cared. As far as I'm concerned, him and whiny Glenn and JuJo should just find a booth and start kissing inside it. Between the three they could easily be the next desparate housewife the way they act.

Greg Ellis isn't dumb. He sees the Cowboys are going after the younger version of him. He wants job security in a world where there flat out isn't any. Phillips is saying all the right things out of courtesy to a guy who's given his all to this franchise, but we all know what's inevitable and so does Ellis. I wish he'd just pipe down play.

Well if Ellis does not return to full speed he will be looking for a job.

He is in no position to be crying!

The Commanders need a pass rush and they have draft picks they'll want to get rid of soon. Ship him over there.

The Cowboys aren't going after a younger version of him; Spencer is already much more altheltically gifted and stronger than Ellis was even when Ellis was in his prime, whatever that means.

Lets not forget how well our defense played before Ellis went down, after he tore his achilles we couldn't get any pass rush and teams were gashing us with the run after that. Be careful what you wish for.

I take offense to your vicious and crass statements about Ellis "whining". If anybody needs to shut their festering gob it is YOU!

What kind of moron are you? Why does it bother you?
Greg Ellis is class and has given 100% to the Dallas Cowboys.

What else do you want from him?
