Greg Ellis is worried? Wow.

All I know is I wouldn't want to be a rookie getting hazed on Sam's team next year.

Drafting Sam is a Jerry wet dream (publicity) so I have little doubt we will take him in rounds 3-4 if he is there

The worst thing for Sam and the cowboys would be to draft him because on a mediocre/bad team he will become THE story and that would not be good. The best thing that can happen to Sam would be to go to a winning franchise where his story becomes ho-hum once the season starts

Sam: I'm holding this press conference to announce I am gay. But this is completely meaningless and irrelevant to my football career.

~a week later at the combine~

Sam: I wish people thought of me as a football player and not a gay football player.

You victim, Michael.

Somebody will draft him. If he has a good combine he will be drafted. If he has a great combine somebody will reach for him high.

His talent is undeniable. He can play in this league.

A guy on the radio threw out the idea that if Sam isn't drafted by some point, that Goodell would call one of his owner buddies and get them to draft him because it would be bad publicity if he falls too far in the draft.

Not as bad as the publicity if it came out that Goodell strong armed a team into drafting him.

He's going to get drafted on the merits of his play, then question is in what round that happens. You don't need 32 teams to like him, just one.

Dumb radio guy. This isn't baseball, you don't draft guys as a favor

Yes, the other guy on the radio argued that point. The original guy argued that a private conversation between Goodell and one of his buddy/owners would never "get out".

I have no doubt Sam will get drafted at some point. Fortunately he is a pretty good player.

If Goodell and this imaginary buddy of his as so close, there'd be no need for a call.

I've just seen all this crap before. It's like when a minority gets a job and no one wants to believe they got it on their own, no, someone had to have done him/her a favor or they got the job because of some policy because clearly they are incapable and/or unwanted.

I honestly believe that if that happened and it were found out, it wouldn't amount to much at all. Might be a story for a day or two but it would fade quickly.

I feel like it's a silly scenario frankly, not worth arguing except by media folks looking for an angle.

That's called getting ahead of it before it was a surprise at the combine. When they start to interview people close to him the story would have broke. He's had a few weeks for media to take it how they will and all he stated was it's who he is and shouldn't be a big deal. I hardly see any playing victim.

His tin foil hat must've been on way too tight.

If he falls it's cuz he's undersized. If the kid can ball and has put on a lil weight I would be all for it. This teams defense sucks too bad to get picky about SEC def player of the year cuz he likes guys....
