No it was 100% RIchardson. He took a beating after letting Hardy play in a game after Rice and the Rae Carruth thing always hangs over that franchise.

I can see it from that angle, but if it was merely a perception thing, the Panthers are getting screwed and we are hopefully getting the benefits of this 'mistake'. In this light, Dallas needs to just sign him long-term if they can.

Who is the other person she did it to?

I can't remember but it was brought up and put out there when all this went down. I'm in NC so I'm sure we heard more about this than the rest of the country. I think some one that had some thing to do with the music business. Of course I could be wrong.

I agree that this can be skewed either way. I have a hard time believing that she prevented him from leaving. If he wanted to leave he could of left the apartment.

how about her hoping he would snap and hit her and then she really rakes in the cash?

So weird how he is getting drug through the mud on this..

He calls the cops, a building manager calls the cops, both parties claim she was heavily intoxicated, possibly on cocaine as well, he also has an eye witness there.

The judge says he doesn't believe Hardy and puts him on probation.. Hardy says fine I want this case looked at by a jury..

To me, he paid her off so he could just get this over with and move on quicker.

This is old news since this was a local thing for me and I can say that this woman's reputation is not exactly sterling. A lot of this was a prosecutor looking to solidify a reputation versus something that was a clear case of brutality. But that does not stop people with their faux outrage.

I can second this. My friend went to high school with her and she was known for being crazy and lying even then.

What's it going to be then, eh?

I have a serious question for those who are condemning Hardy, saying they do not want him to "wear the star".

Same hold true for someone who admittedly beat a kid in Adrian Peterson?

Former teammate examines pros, cons of Greg Hardy

IRVING, Texas – The Dallas Cowboys have lots of things to consider as they possibly close in on a deal for Greg Hardy.

From a football standpoint it makes perfect sense. Hardy is the best pass rusher on the open market, and the Cowboys’ stated No. 1 goal of the offseason is to improve a pass rush that had just 28 sacks in 2014 and couldn’t sniff an immobile Aaron Rodgers in the playoff loss to theGreen Bay Packers.

Off the field is another story, but if the Cowboys are this far down the road on negotiations they must feel comfortable in adding him to the roster.

AP Photo/Paul SpinelliA former teammate of Greg Hardy said there were times the defensive end was 'unmanageable.'
He is facing a possible suspension for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy stemming from an incident last spring with an ex-girlfriend. A judge found Hardy guilty of assaulting and threatening to kill Nicole Holder, but the verdict was set aside when Hardy requested a jury trial.

Charges were dropped when Holder refused to cooperate with the district attorney’s office after receiving a financial settlement from Hardy.

There is no doubt the Cowboys have been in contact with the league office on Hardy’s playing status. He remains on the commissioner’s exempt list and met recently with Roger Goodell. A league spokesman said the case is being reviewed and they will have a decision as soon as possible.

Next up is how the potential signing will be greeted in the locker room. Generally, if a player can help a team win the new teammates don’t care what happened in a player’s past. There is a big belief in second chances in locker rooms. Especially for talented players.

On ESPN 103.3 FM’s “Fitzsimmons and Friedo show Tuesday, former Carolina Panthersteammate Ben Hartsock spoke about Hardy.

Is Hardy worth the risk?

“Well, I think that's a great question,” Hartsock said. “When he's on the field, he's a dominant force. Because of that, he's going to get more leniency. The issue he has right now is whether he's too toxic. He's going to be on a very, very short leash. If he screws up one more time, I believe he'll be on his way out. But I do believe he's going to get another chance and I think he deserves it.”

But Hartsock offered up some buyer-beware thoughts as well.

“You trust him to the extent that you don't necessarily know what you're going to get,” Hartsock said. “The Greg Hardy that was on the field was going to be a nightmare for the opposing team. But then you go in and everybody is in the hot tub or the cold tub after practice just shooting the breeze and the guy carries on a very reasonable, level-headed inquisitive type of conversation. But then there are other times when he's just unmanageable. And that's why I think things have gotten in trouble with his personal life. He's going have to go a long ways to earn the trust of any organization, whether it be Dallas or any other franchise across the league.

“His reputation has now become an Achilles heel. Trustworthy is kind of a sliding scale in the NFL. If you're talented and you have the ability and some skills that no one else has, trustworthiness can be slid a little bit more. Like I said, there aren't many people like him on the planet that can play and that can do the things that he does. But we are also in an NFL environment right now where any off-the-field liability is frowned upon very strongly.”

Exactly how their fans feel.

It does for me because he was convicted of it. What could a four year old do to deserve that? And there were pictures of it.

I have said from the beginning that the details of this were sketchy at best. Even had a guy call me an idiot because I wouldn't crucify Hardy. The same applies to Big Ben, we don't know what really transpired, all of those women seem to be after some money.

And yes, sometimes the men are victims of DV. If a woman wants to act like a man and try and beat up a male, she deserves what is coming, to an extent anyways.

But, alas, I am not saying that Hardy and Ben are innocent but it appears that there is more involved than what we know.

If she blocked the door what was he supposed to do?

Does anyone have other details of this?
Based on the transcripts from the call I actually feel bad for hardy. Not because he was hit but because it sounds like he was trying to get this woman away from him. We cant really know the whole story and I only knows a very small piece. Our legal system is totally bias against men when it comes to women claiming domestic violence these days. I have seen cases of women using this tactic against men to win child custody cases ect.

I woke up this morning assuming Hardy was a Ray Rice type. Once again I am reminded of why I need to wait for the real details before making any assumptions.

On 105.3 the fan it was said that Hardy called the police that morning. If all this is true what is being said then WHY would he be the person calling the police. It was said that Hardy had a neighbor as a witness that she kept attacking him and would not leave his residence.

The media and Judges will in most cases favor the females because of a possible lawsuit if the male goes back and does harm or even kill the female. The system is to set to make the males guilty. I'm not saying who is guilty or who is not.
Read the transcript. Hardy could have been lying but based on the transcript it sounds like the woman and her friend were drunk and/or high and she went ballistic throwing and breaking things. When he couldn't get her to leave, he called the cops. No one will ever know what happened in that apartment I'm sure, but if these are the facts we know I'm not sure how you can justify even suspending the guy much less pressing criminal charges.

If he would have touched her and any one had seen it even if it was so he could leave, he would have been screwed.
To me he did every thing right.
