any chance at getting him in Dallas

Doubt it. This dude isn't getting any less than 7-8 mil/year. He's only 25. No way we can afford him even after restructures/draft pick $. Unless he's our only signing. Which I don't see happening. I see us getting a mid/low level DLineman for 2-4 mil per and a couple more Will Allen/Durant type vets like last off season. Smh.

Would be nice tho.

A) We have little money available to shop right now. Make a note that 7 of his sacks were in the last two games and he disappeared in the playoff game against SF.

He is a beast and better than any DL we have by far .

He won't be coming here, unless players are released or restructured, then we barely have enough cap space to sign our draft picks. We can't afford another high-priced free agent unless we do some serious weeding out.

Didn't he already say he would be more than happy to play under the franchise tag as long as it meant he could stay in Carolina? There is less than zero percent chance of him in Dallas next season.

Ray Edwards type situation.

IMO.

I'd be scared of signing him to a huge deal.

I'm sure he will be franchised or re-signed. I don't think Carolina has any cap problems.

If Greg Hardy is available for 7 to 8 million per year, Jerry should have his private Jet waiting to pick him up.

Yes, the exact breakdown of how the Cowboys can afford free agents has been posted multiple times. Carr's first year cap hit was on 3.2M and he averages 10M per year.

I would be very surprised if he even hits the market. Would be great but we could not pay him even if he did become available.

I'd love to say yes. There is little chance Carolina let's him just walk away. Besides there isn't much wiggle room with our cap.

Unfortunately no, will be too high priced. Hopefully there will be someone of his caliber when we pick in the draft.

Carolina does have some cap issues. They will have 21 free agents in total and will have to make tough decisions whether to extend Cam Newton long term or use the fifth-year option. Hardy is wrapped up in all of that. Gettleman made it very clear in his season ending press conference that they are "challenged".

Hardy is probably their top priority as they are very dependent on their pass rush defensively.

There are going to be a lot of disappointed fans around here in a couple of months.

We'll be bystanders.

But this isn't cap hell. We can do what we want.

I cannot wait for the updates about where Jerry Jones' plane is.
