This is the same writer who predicted Dallas wouldn't make the playoffs when they were standing at six and two midseason. I'm pretty sure he's a Steelers fan.

He is from Pennsylvania. Eagles or Stealers, either way listening to his podcast it'sv ery obvious he dislikes the Cowboys. You can hear the emotion in his voice. I sound like that talking about his Eagles.

Sturm's take of Chip Kelly and the eagles offseason:

Question: At this point, do have have a better feel for what Chip Kelly is doing with the Eagles? How do you expect him to approach the upcoming draft?

Bob Sturm: Not really. I still have no feel for the Bradford situation which I assume we are still waiting to see if anything happens in the draft. Then, what do they do with their first pick? Corner? Wide Receiver? Trade everything for Mariota? They have really confused all observers this offseason and also acquired players rehabbing ACL injuries. If he pulls this off and wins big, I will have to concede he is special. Right now, I think he is a mess that has fooled most of the NFL media into thinking he has everything all figured out. I have long said his undoing will be when he gets full personnel control, because that is the fatal flaw of so many coaches. Almost none of them are as successful at “buying the groceries” as they think they can be. Kelly, with no personnel background whatsoever, is betting on himself heavily and sending his accomplished players away. It is a fascinating storyline for sure.

Believe it or not but they take into consideration our defense as well.

Believe it or not, the Eagles defense is weak too and who knows how their additions will help. They still have holes at S, one of the CB spot and Brandon Graham as an OLB is a risk. Further, they have two injured ILBs.

I know its been said a thousand times that it doesn't matter where we are rated or what anyone thinks but this is getting ridiculous. I can make a case against the Packers and Seahawks if I wanted but the Eagles and Cardinals? I guess I'm just getting tired of, year after year, being ranked under the Eagles. They get worse on Offense but move ahead of us? Or were they ahead of us anyway? I don't get it and never will. How can every analyst, writer, commentator, etc, be so biased and expect to be taken seriously? Don't tell me it doesn't matter because I go to several sites to get my info for the day and keep seeing how last year's play doesn't represent this team...BULL

It doesn't matter. People our entitled to their opinion, however biased, misguided, or ridiculous it may be. To be honest, I would have preferred to see the Cowboys further down the list. The Cowboys tend to do better when they are doubted; they work harder to prove their detractors wrong. In years where the Cowboys are picked to succeed, they fail miserably and embarrassingly.
