Gregory assessment?

Doesn't bother me that he wasn't great. Hope he plays a bunch next week. With Tank & T Crawford not playing, every snap the Gregory plays means that Benson M is able to take a break.

I want the DL as healthy as possible for the playoffs. If Gregory gets better because he's playing more to rest others, that's a bonus.

Keep in mind that he played in situations tonight that he won't play in during the playoffs.

He's not going to be out there other than pass-rushing situations in the playoffs but this week and next week are about getting as many snaps as he can. He flashed the talent last night, that's what he needed to do. Now, he needs to get in shape and get a bit of confidence so he can help in passing situations.

Any expectation for him to be strong against the run or to really show up in the box score aren't fair to him. But he showed the athleticism that he needed to.

Seem to get better as the game went on which is understandable.
He could be a great player, but sadly his addiction and the goofy NFL with there misplaced morality will not allow it.

A+ post. If all 8 DL are healthy, Gregory is not on the field for anything but 3rd and 6+ or other obvious passing downs. He got washed out on the run a few times, but that's ok given what they'll be asking him to do. Assuming Mara doesn't get his way.

He shouldn't be out there

1. You're 12-2

2. You have a chance to win the SB

3. Are you that unaware that you throw a guy out there(game 15) who has failed multiple drug test?

4. First chance you get, you just throw him out there w no regard for what he did to let the team and the organization down?

I'm talking to Jerry

His *** should be red shirted this season

All money ain't good money. Roll with the guys who did it the right way.

Leveon Bell anyone?

He was better in the 2nd half and was getting some pressures on Stafford. He wasn't good in the 1st half. But does it really matter? He's going to get suspended again and the Cowboys are good without him.

Where are you guys getting that he sucked and was horrible from? What game did you watch?
My thoughts exactly....i believe it comes from the comments from Gruden saying he was being abused in the run game, which were equally puzzling.

Gruden is definetely not a fan of Gregory. You could tell watching that.

He seemed rusty early and gassed late in the game but the kid is just a freak of nature. He should be a good asset coming off the bench in the playoffs specially on obvious passing downs. The kid has a ton of ability and should help us in the rotation.

Like many have said it wasn't a great night for Gregory. He was quite awful in the 1st half. I don't watch film, but from my eye, the Lions rushing success I believe had a lot to do with Gregory. I think on 1 of the Lions rushing TD was due to Gregory being overly aggressive in rushing while the RB just ran outside of him. However in the 2nd half he was much better. He had a couple pressures and I believe he had a nice tackle for loss (or minimal gain) on a run.

His 2nd half recovery was a good sign though. Hopefully something to build on (assuming he doesn't get suspended again). I do think Dallas needs to limit his snaps more until Gregory can find more consistency in his game.

I think fans need to temper their expectations. The guy hasn't played in a football game for a year and you can't replicate those kind of reps in practice. Even if you could, he hasn't been practicing for all that long either.

Of course he got winded. He also had an oblique strain but played through it. He crashed in on that run play near the goalline and got blocked. Happens. He had some nice plays putting pressure on Stafford.

Agree, he played more snaps than he should have for the first game back due to the injuries at DE. He flashed well on some plays. But he'll have a more limited role once Lawrence and Crawford are back.
