Gregory Rousseau?

Honestly with Lawrence Aldon and Gregory on the ends. Even when anae gets his chance. De position seems doesn’t seem a big priority in top 10 with what we have.

What do we have? Show me one consistent quality pass rusher in that group.

Our DEs are overrated. They don't get any help from the DTs but I still think they are not what they're advertised to be.

I like DLaw overall but he's not gonna lead the charge on sacks without more help. Gregory has flashed and I guess weed isn't an NFL problem anymore idk but we're a long way from calling him anything other than a comeback. Armstrong sucks. Anae is a total mystery all season idk where he is. No one else is signed for next year.

I've seen the narrative circling around that we're all good at DE and pass rusher and should instead focus on DT but it's bunk IMO. We need DTs and DEs. Our DL group is awful.

DLaw has consistently graded out top of the league in pressures when he’s not being triple teamed. He’s also the only good run defender on the line.

Lawrence is one of the best DEs in football...so we have that.

Sounds like an incredibly weak draft at the top end.

Figures.

Go check out his teammate Jaelan Phillips...there’s some injury concern but his tape is way more impressive as an edge rusher.

If the injuries check out I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he’s drafted in the 1st.

I think you’re right that don’t have any help but to draft a de that high and he’s not the lights out prospect that you desire it doesn’t make sense to draft him when you have 3 des on our roster that may not be world renown but still better than most

If you think we have 3 above average DEs under contract next season then you need to step away from jerry's koolaid

I think if this team had Payne and Allen as DTs from the Commanders our DEs would be much better.

People always say this like it proves a point.

Yes. Of course our DEs will play better if their neighbors are playing better.

That doesn't mean our DEs are good. It means this is a team sport.

Not in love with him. It’s a relatively weak DE draft at the top.

I'm trying to like this kid...I've watched him and read up on him a bit more and came away with some positives.

- Elite length and power and knows how to use it (believe he was only 19 during his last season)
- + run defense from both the edge and interior
- Churns up ground quickly off of first step (similar to the way Aldon does at his size)
- Position flex

The fact he started playing DE as a Sr in high school and graduated at the age of 17 gives me a little more hope. He's still a bit of an upside pick but there is some substance to like here.

If, and only if, he tests out well at the combine and is a +SPARQ athlete I think I can get on board.

I'm starting to get on board, too, with our new draft position.

It's all relative to where you're picking. I think he's more of someone to consider from 15-20 than top ten and even 11-15.

This and it’s being comfortable more of an upside pick.

Chaisson was an upside pick last year but Lamb was a clearly better and proven talent so the decision was easy.

OK Mel , Rousseau had 15 1/2 sacks how many does Kwity Paye have this season? 2. Performance vs Potential.
Historically, college stats are not a good indicator or NFL success...
