This was the first movie in the history of cinema I have ever walked out of.

Specifically, death proof.

Wow. As many movies as I see every year I actually haven't ever walked out of one before. I came close with The Blair Witch Project, and I wanted to during this gay **** biker movie I had to watch for a film class (a Kenneth Anger film, by the way - the first result when you google 'gay **** biker movie').

My friend only walked out of one movie before - Big Momma's House.

The movie reaks of 'Rodriguez/Tarantino made it, so it MUST be good.'

That being said, I saw it in a large but uncrowded theatre (mayb 15-20 people there), so I definitely didn't get the ambiance.

But Planet Terror was awful

Grindhouse kicked butt. Everything from the fake trailers to the movies themselves were good. Death Proof started off slow, but ended great.

The point of going to the movies is to be entertained, and grindhouse was very entertaining.

Most movies that have been released by Hollywood in the last 10 years have been completely worthless....very little talent with studios stealing ideas from other studios, studios stealing ideas from writers pitching scripts, etc. It's a sea of junk.

I'd have to guess that the vast majority of movies coming out of Hollywood studios have either been remakes, sequels, based on books, based on old tv shows, based on new tv shows, based on comic books, based on theme park rides, or basically rip offs of foreign (particularly Japanese) movies.

Solomon once said there is nothing new under the sun, but that is ridiculous.
