5. Ken Hamlin vs. Pat Watkins

I’m sold that Hamlin will be the starter, at least initially, but how much playing time can Watkins get? The over-matched rookie may be transformed into a seasoned second-year pro. You can’t deny Watkins physical gifts, at his height and athletic ability only the mental part of the game can hold him back. He ended up out of position far too often last year. Hamlin, in contrast, is a guy who has proven it before. If he returns to his pre-head injury form then the Cowboys have found their free safety. If not, then Watkins can make his move.

I disagree with that.

Watkins was for the most part always in position to make a play but he was just scared to or something.

Several games he could've just knocked the ball down and didn't do it.

I know he can get himself in the position to make a play. Now will he do it...?

I'm looking forward to this battle right here. I'm hoping that Spencer blows us away, cause if he does, we are looking at the best tandom of passrushers this team has seen in ages.

Lousaka Polite is awful. Here's to hoping my boy Hoyte wins that position again this year. I'd even take the rook over Polite.

Well, we've gotta have at least 1 FB on the team and Hoyte can beat out Polite easily. It's either the rook or Hoyte and I'd have to imagine Hoyte has the edge going into camp.
