Guess Romo runs this team, not Wade huh?

I swear the throwback-to-Witten-pass-to-TO that they ran after getting the 1st down looked like they just drew it up in the huddle.

Or they started inviting TO to the secret meetings and came up with it there.

I'm pretty sure it was, too. I'm not even entirely sure Romo knew Witten would throw it when he launched it his way. It sure looked like Romo's intent was to throw downfield and then just "settled" for the side throw to Witten.

Wasn't it interesting how Wade sent in the punt team and Romo waived em' all back and ran the QB sneak? I thought it was very interesting. If Wade is running the show, it sure didn't seem that way on that given play at least.

Embarrassing 44-6 loss. Wow, I never would have thought they would get blown out.

You do know that the offense is dictated by Garrett... How about that stupid pass play on the 3rd an inches called by Garrett on the play that led to Romo telling the punt team to go back... I bet you Romo called that QB sneak himself...

And therein lies the rub!

Peyton can do that, & any other "elite" QB
has the green light to do that!
Clearly, WP had no idea what was happening, & ended
up looking very weak!

I'm starting to have a real problem with the many
liberties that Romo has gotten, without really
EARNING them, IMHO!

He's the annointed one, yet in retrospect, what's he
done to be in that position?

Uh, Garrett has sole control over the offense... That is why he was given the title of Assistant Head Coach and made the highest paid OC in the league... You can't blame Wade for any of the woes on offense...

I think Romo was right wanting to go for it.

But Romo was wrong for undermining his coach.

It just showed that Wade has zero control over this team.

The players dont fear or respect Wade. Any coach can get by on one of the two, fear or respect... but no coach can be successful when he has neither.

Why didn't he wave the field goal team off later in the game?

He over ruled not only Wade, but Garrett as well, unless people think it was Red that called the QB sneak he has refused to call the previous three times we had 3rd or 4th and inches situations.

During the post game when Romo was asked he said the call he got in his helmet from the sideline was they were going for it. The special teams was going out there because they assumed on 4th down we would punt. Romo did not over rule anyone

Ahhh, good to know. Thanks.

My pleasure. Romo was asked by a reporter and I was wondering the same thing but according to Romo the call came in from the sidelines he just waved the unit off because that is what was being called.

I find it extremely troubling and a microcosm of this team's problem. There's no leadership from the top down.

So.....I guess Wade wasn't even part of the decision. Like any other HC would have been on a 4th down call. Ok. No matter. Really. And I'm not slamming or doubting you. Just saying, in the scheme of things, it really doesn't matter.

And of course, after all that, Romo fumbles it away 2 plays later anyway.

Dude, we clearly don't have a head coach. It would be one thing if he did that to Bill Parcells, but its Wade freakin' Phiilips. A soldier is under no obligation to obey an immoral order and that's exactly what the call to punt was.....

You know what you're right...who am I kidding, Wade is an idiot.

This info simply doesn't fit what the Wade-haters want to hear. If Wade stays, we will hear this little "story" of how Romo overruled Wade from now on.

Their agenda matters more than the truth.

No doubt about it. Wade is the HC I expect he is going to catch the heat it comes with the job. However fans do not control who is hired or fired so they can have all the opinions they want

Not sure if anyone else has posted this yet, but this is the sequence in question:

I wouldn't mind that from Romo if he didn't turn it over as much as he does.

By then, the game was over. Victory was still a possiblity when he waved off the punt team.

who decided to kick a FG when u r down by 40 with seconds left to play? no wonder players hate the Cowboys!
