haha, The guy who played "Rick" (The big pimp) made the movie for me. He was a classic. It was American Pie eighties style.

And thanks Duane - I realized it as I was typing this.

One of the only teen movies from the eighties that had a sad ending I think. Most teen movies seemed to end up happy back then.

That is all the virgin wanted to do, too.

I liked The Sure Thing with John Cusak and Daphne Zuniga.

Before I forget, I heard on the radio that they were trying to make a sequel for your choice in this thread, 16 Candles. It would have Molly Ringwald and the rest of the original cast in a story of what happened 20 years after.

Just more proof that Hollywood can't come up with anything original :bang2:

That movie is a classic if just for the Phoebe Cates swimsuit scene alone

Agreed!

The Cars music was perfect for the seen...and Phoebe had a wonderful body!

I like Valley Girl Too. It was Tripindicular! :D

Mike Damone: First of all Rat, you never let on how much you like a girl. "Oh, Debbie. Hi."

Two, you always call the shots. "Kiss me. You won't regret it."

Now three, act like wherever you are, that's the place to be. "Isn't this great?"

Four, when ordering food, you find out what she wants, then order for the both of you. It's a classy move. "Now, the lady will have the linguini and white clam sauce, and a Coke with no ice."

And five, now this is the most important, Rat. When it comes down to making out, whenever possible, put on side one of Led Zeppelin IV.

Just a classic movie.

Sean Penn was great before he got all serious and angry. Spicoli was such a great character ... his verbal sparring with Mr. Hand and his unorthodox way of looking at the world.

Yeah, that movie was great. Remember the dream when he won the surfing competition and he was being interviewed, and when he's driving that car to the party and wrecks it "my old man's a tv repair man, he's got this ultimate set of tools."
