Concealed carry: Carrying concealed from view. This is legal in two states without a permit.
Open carry: Carrying in open view. This is legal is twelve states without a permit, plus others but with rules you have to check or in exchange for a loss of certain liberties.

Arizona has just become the 3rd state to be able to carry a concealed weapon w/o permit. Effective in July/August.

I was just about to take my classes for the permit, and now I don't have to.

Alaska and Vermont now do not require permits to carry concealed weapons.
