There's a fine line between all these arguments and debates but you're right and even Clark though he was ready to play he just didn't turn out to be the player we hoped and had nothing to do with the injury he's just your very average to below average blah middle linebacker but maybe the linebacker whisperer here with EberFlu's can fix him...Drafting injured players hasn’t been their biggest issue. Only ones that come to mind were Jaylon and Clark. Clark was a 5th which was a good risk/reward there. Jaylon was absolutely mind-numbing since it was high second and had to sit for a full year.
The Cowboys’ bigger issue has been drafting questionable character guys with high picks.
But even Jalen Smith,
I remember that draft there were teams that were going to pick him about three or four spots or at least in that round he was highly sought after because he was worked the risk in their minds and he did have a couple of Pro Bowl year, I know it doesn't matter that you can build up a bunch of tackles, and say it was good but he at least was serviceable...
I mean he was a top five pick that got hurt this has happened, I remember, I don't remember his name of running back did he go to Washington and he came out of the Miami hurricane program destroyed his knee he came back and was fine... he had a great pro career, so you look at these with a mixed result but teams just drafted Abdul Carter and he has a fracture in his foot literally top 5...
I mean there are other injured players that get picked it's not the Cowboys it's all the league when they look at a guy that has that much potential and in this case it's rebel you get him in the 3rd round they say he's going to be fine ACLS are not career in the and we may end him get a first round corner at a value pick..
