And I believe in Santa.:muttley:
Dak goes as far as the team carries him.
If you haven't witnessed this in the past 7 years then you need to take off the Dak shades.
All of us will have additional confirmation of the above when the playoffs kick off.

A leader and a winner - I saw that guy Saturday against the best team in the nfc.

Flexibility in style is fine by me

I would rather have the QB handing the ball off to a RB that's averaging 4 yards per carry .

A little of both. But he needs help from his OC. When it’s 3rd and 4 at a critical part of the game don’t get cute and throw bombs and run plays where everyone is past 10 yards. Just dump it down and get another 1st. It drives me crazy.

I believe Dak is good enough on the right day to go toe to toe with the best QB'S when he is on the same page.

We used to run some hurry up earlier. That is his sweet spot. Then pound the rock. We need the run game to be effective. Zeke doing the dirty work and Pollard in space. We all agree on that.

Sound defense. Playing contain and watching the outside. Then turn the dogs lose.
This doesn't make sense. Why you immediately making a good discussion thread into a Dak thread?????

Bus driver, by a gadzillion. Very very few gunslingers win super bowls. Meanwhile, the short passing bus drivers keep piling 'em up.

Gunslinger if you have a shaky defense. Bus driver if you have the 49ers defense.

I have been saying it most of the season since Dak came back. Dak is trying to find that balance between being aggressive and managing the game. Like I will keep saying.. He's transitioning from being too conservative to being more aggressive. I think most of us would agree he's gone a little over the line and needs to dial it back a smidge. I think he will find it.
Man, Ron, when Dak starts shooting all those short passes over the middle, our O just hums. Clockwork. We'll be moving the ball, getting in the red zone, controlling the clock, all of those nice little things that lead to super bowls. And then suddenly, BLAM, out of nowhere, we throw 3 long passes and have to settle for a FG or punt.

Why??????????

Does KMo seriously not comprehend that the short passing game sets up the long game? Get those S's and LB's up and then take a shot.

Both... What we need from Dak is both.. we need him to sling it when it's the right time.. and we need him to drive the bus at the right time .. and we need him to run when it's the right time.

could not agree more. We all know our record when we run the ball 25+ times or whatever the stat is, but situational football may mean him taking aggressive shots down the field.

if and when the Niners stuff the run, Dakota is going to have to play at a more aggressive level. With the addition of TYs experienced route running and great ability to find soft areas in zones, Daks job just got a tad easier.

NO we dont all agree on that. Pollard gets us down to the 1 and then Zeke vultures the TD. Yet Pollard has more TD's. Hes just much better.

Yes but Dak is who we got . . . Which do you prefer.

I would ratger have this version of Dak. . . And the fact that He has been willing to sling the ball is good

He is finding confidence in himself. . . Your biggest criticism was that He would get the deer in the headlights look in his eyes. It is different this year he is not caving lije before.

Maybe it is because he is gaining more confidence in himself as a gunslinger.

After that Pick 6 he settled down and picked the Eagles apart . . . The throw to Gallup was a thing of beauty

I am rooting for the gunslinger

Pretty much what I was going to say. Sometimes Dak just needs to lean on the run game when it's working well. No need to be a hero.

I want the bus driver approach we used in 2014 and 2016.

Same approach we used in the 90s.

That is a winning formula.

It is also nice to know that Dak can also gun sling it if we need that.

As many have said….bus driver that is capable of making you pay if you stack the box.

Dak Prescott can be exactly that if used correctly.

I want him to make better decisions, specifically when it comes to running to keep the sticks moving and throwing the ball away instead of taking a sack.
