I would think by now the players would be revolting at least a little if Garrett were that bad.

Not really, if they were to speak out, garrett would then not like them, and could replace them.
and if they are mostly playing for the money they would just want to stay on his good side.
But as a player, you would have to be careful what you say about any coaches.
If they dont like his coaching then the only option is to not resign with cowboys.

ok, the record doesnt do what the fans think it does. 14-2..8-8. regardless of the record it means nothing in teh playoffs. So its not like the team has a different mentality because of the record, they can flop at 13-3 and they cant flop at 9-7 believe me, they arent worried what any of us think they will be. So dont worry about that. The playoffs doesnt care about your record.

The reason he said second place was because he didn't want the team to coast like last season going into the playoffs. Playing every game at the end of the season will keep that mentality in the playoffs

I read another article that has Dallas with the leagues toughest schedule this year, but the entire division are all in the top 8....should be a dogfight all season.

Commanders are a mess, giants and eagle cant block for their QBs. Dallas still reigns supreme

While it's true a steam kettle gets attention there would be enough of them to raise the alarm. You can't hide incompetence very long. He has too many close to the situation who admire him. Garrett is not the problem although I wonder about play calling at times which Linehan does under Garrett's supervision.

I didn't say anything about their regular season record helping them in the playoffs. All I meant was with a tough schedule, they will have been tested in many different ways, before the playoffs.
