Ditto man. If you don't love Tombstone you're probably wearing a skirt. Testosterone filled lines from start to finish.

Yes sir when all else fails the good ole Tombstone quote is a failsafe for bailing you out of a tight jam. ;)

I think they're doing the right thing by moving Carpenter into the middle. His instinctiveness and size will allow him to be moved around all over the place.

Imagine seeing him line up in the middle on the 1st play.
2nd play, he's lined up as an OLB opposite Ware, and Burnett slips in to play ILB for a play.

Third play, Ware is lined up next to Ellis and Roy Williams comes up to the LOS on the opposite side, while Carp & Ayodele are in the middle, Hatcher Canty and Spears also on the LOS.

With our depth, we can switch men in and out, put Ware and Carp all over the place, have RW stalking the LOS like a Jaguar, and the rest of the secondary shadowing ever receiver, leaving the QB hardly any time to do squat. That's my dream :)

stop, you're giving me the shivers ;)

Eh, I focused on the three. But, look at this defense. It's been two years - it's brand new, aside from TNew and Roy.

We can do the same on offense with Witten and Julius, particularly if one of our backup QB pipe dreams comes true, and all the young talent there starts coming on. I mean, this Oline is getting younger and younger. Not a bad start. One or two superstar playmakers drafted, and we're there.

we might see us continuing to rely on more veterans on O, than on D, esp. at the skill positions, I know it would be nice to be young at every position on O, I just don't envision it, unless we really hit on our picks on O

Roy Williams: (To S. Moss) "...maybe football just isn't your game, I know, let's have a spelling contest"

that should be Roy WIlliams to Clinton Portis :laugh2:

Am I the only one worried about nose tackle? I think we look fabulous everywhere else (crossing fingers on FS), but we've got to be better this year on stopping the short running game, and I gotta say, I don't have a lot of confidence there.

No, you aren't. I was never too high on the Ferguson signing and think NT is too vital to ignore. Part of the reason why I was hoping Haloti Ngata would fall to us in the draft and why I've mentioned moving one of our DEs to NT.

My numbers don't match... Who's starting instead of Spears?

 Is this a just while he heals thing or is Ratliff just destroying everything in site?
I think it's a combination of the two.

What do they all have in common?

They might all be backups this season.
That is true but they will all see the field a lot this year. I'm not sure that being named a "starter" means all that much the way we will rotate these players. It is nice that we have some good young quality depth. Now if the offense could only be injected with as much youth.
