Guys, I was talking to a friend tonight, after the giants won going to the super bowl. Shoot! that should have been us, the Cowboys!

Anyway, I think we all agree that this cowboy team has a lack of heart sometimes and attitude, to me, to fix attitude going into playoffs and show that it is important, you do what Jimmy Johnson used to do, you shake up the team,,

How, do u shake up the team, you cut or trade a player or to too show that your not going to stand still and be content, and let players be content, just to go to playoffs, and have more fun in december going to parties, get aways, college bowl games instead of concentrating on the job at hand, the playoffs.

First if any players are content just to get to playoffs and have laid back attitude in December you find that player and trade or cut his butt. One player comes to mind, in my opinioin and would shake up the team and tell them your not going to put up with complaining, griping and moaning, that player is Greg Ellis. Trade him to Denver, Buffalo, someone that needs a pass rusher.

Yeah I know we need a pass rusher to replace him till Spencer comes into his own, well by trading Greg Ellis to either buffalo or denver for their # 2 or # 3 pick, you move up in the draft picks, to high 20's, then you turn around and trade your # 2 pick or # 3, whatever round you gave up to trade greg ellis, you trade your pick in same round for jason taylor.

First, Jason Taylor has attitude and he wants to win, and he would be glad to come here and play. And you have moved up in the 2nd or 3rd round 7 spots are more, making the posssibility of that pick a better player in that round, and at same time, you send a message to the team, no more laid back attitude in december, get your butt in gear or the team will trade or cut your butt too.

Just think about it guys, we need attitude and players that want to win on this team, you dont want a player to start griping right after a playoff loss, what signal does that send to players, but another bad attitude and demands.

trade Crayton...hmmm

No way!!! Stop letting 1 bad game interfere with the fact that he has the best hands on the team, makes big catches for 1st downs especially on 3rd downs. Crayton has been extremely solid and played very well this year. Stop trippin...Geeez!!!!!!:bang2:

We should cut everyone that we gave pay raises to/re-signed just this season! Hell of an idea!

To REALLY show that nobody is safe without severely hurting the team, I would cut or trade Roy Williams. By taking his cap hit, you'll show that you don't care about somebody's draft status, his pro bowl resume or his salary, everybody can be cut.

sorry, Crayton is going to be getting alot of **** from me until he does something worthwhile, to make up for his big gaffe of a performance, in the biggest game of his life, after all the **** he was spewing about pissing on people's lawns

and know this, I was one of the biggest advocates of re-signing him

Or display your brass manhood and guarantee victory before a NFC Championship game, that seemed to work good to!;)

there is one player that could change the attitude of this team and that is Ray Lewis and he isnt going to be a cowboy. our leaders, are leaders by example, we could use a vocal leader like michael was in the 90's.

Crayton had more than 1 bad game, but that aside, he is a #3 WR at best.

I can't help but say it again: Crayton had the opportunity to shine and didn't take advantage. With Terrell Owens and Jason Witten out there hogging up most of the coverage, Crayton seemed to do little to make himself a big target for Romo. He could have become a real threat not just on 3rd down but on EVERY down. But, he played about as average as last year when he was the #3 WR

2006 - 14.3yds/rec; 36 rec 516yds 4TDs
2007 - 13.9yds/rec; 50 rec 697yds 7TDs

I expected a heck of a lot more from him with Glenn out.

Crayton's not so bad, he has excellent skills most of the time, no speed, but very good hands and he knows how to get open. His problem, I think, is that like many football players, he has great physical resources but the mind/psyche of a pre-adolescent to adolescent boy. He is a long way from being mature.

Maybe the merciless taunting he will get from all around him this entire off-season will help to mature him somewhat, at least we can hope it will.

Nobody looks as stupid as someone who has loudly trash-talked and then fallen on his face time after time. Hopefully, he'll have enough sense to be embarrassed about this whole epidode.

Most of the team seems to have gone nuts the last month or so of the season.

Coaching staff have their work cut out for them.

It's Crayton's call how he goes from here. I think he does need to be talked to this offseason, and if one word comes out of his mouth next year, he's gone.

And about having one bad game - we just can't have guys that perform that poorly when everything is on the line. We will NEVER win with a guy who quits on a route with 16 seconds left. Screw the Romo choked talk, he threw a perfect pass to win the game. Crayton gave up.

if we got rid of people who griped after a playoff loss, this would be a ghostown.

with glenn out, both crayton AND witten picked up the receiving slack. crayton is a good to great #3 and and ok #2. yes he had 1 bad game and it was unfortunate. what's worse is everyone calling for his head. he resigned and he's a cowboy for a few more years. whining won't change a thing.

Mr. Hand, when did you become a national sports columnist? Or hired by Jerra's front office?
Oh, you are just a poster here. Well, Crayton, beware, Mr. Hand will be getting on to you!!!!!!
:laugh2:

Get a grip.
I never have been sold on Crayton, but I do recognize that our two starting WRs are long in the tooth and one (Glenn) is a gimp. Until we bring in at least two blue chippers, either via the draft or FA, we need Mr. BigMouf Crayton.

So trading Crayton is, at best, a dumb idea.
But thanks for your input, Mr. Hand.

The best thing that may have happened to the Giants in 07 was the retirement of Tiki Barber.

Your plan may be plausible.

I think the idea of cutting a player to make a point is a good idea. Certainly it worked for Jimmy Johnson but remember he didn't cut a starter, but don't forget Wade cut a player in preseason for screwing up. That example didn't last long. Remember in 06 Parcells wouldn't give the team 3 days off at a time because he was concerned they'd get in trouble, etc. Maybe Wade needs to reinstitute that policy but somewhat modified.

I'm just not sure that Wade understands the goal for the Cowboys is always to win the SB and it's not just talk. Don't ever want to hear again from him that we are 13-3 or whatever as an excuse for poor play in any game. If Wade can't bring the hammer down, maybe some of the young vets need to step it up or bring in a FA vet who will bring fire and brimstone to the team for those who don't play well. The Cowboys have a father figure in Phillips but what they also need is a Dutch uncle who'll kick them in the butt when necessary.
