Guyton: "I didn't do good last season."

I wouldn't worry too much about him after one year. Sometimes the transition isn't easy. What you did during college years may not translate well in the pros. Some routines need to change. It sounds like he gets it.
Good post!

That's just it, we don't need him to be Tyron, just a solid starter who can hold his own.
It was also a bit odd that they put him at left tackle. Didn't he play RT? Give the guy some slack. I figured they'd put him at RT and swing Smith to LT, but hey, they know better than I.

When we drafted him to play LT I said he wouldn't be starting. Someone responded with, "cool story bro". He knows who he is. Bottom line, give the guy some time.

I agree with that. But we already knew that.

Still, show us you're better. Don't tell us.
That seems to be a common theme in Dallas. Players like to talk in the off-season how they have improved but words are cheap when they get used every year. The NFL is a prove it with your play league.

Yeah but according to genius football men Jones’ theory, a first round pick is a guaranteed immediate impact starter. Even at pick 27.

Left tackle nonetheless. Lol. Didn’t even play there in school. But hey can’t really argue with a hall of famer billionaire who is smarter than everyone right?

Guyton isn’t atypical. Got his hands on a few dollars and stopped working hard at a time when you have to work harder than you ever had to. Many have that problem, which is why you can’t count on rookies the way this team does.

Some guys want to win. Some want to party and be celebrities….just like their 83 year old leader
Some Cowboys fans like this one seem to really enjoy when a Cowboys player has struggles.

Well, this is a good start.......accountability. As stated in another thread, he had no clue about being a professional NFL player.

OK, he might be full of it, but I believe he is sincere. I changed over my life by changing my diet and it was a grueling process. Eating embodies so much of what we are as humans, so to change your diet to be functional and not for comfort...it's taming the ultimate addiction. A man knows...you can't do this without changing some of the software in the brain. And the dedication and discipline can be transferable to other things. I'm hopeful.
