Guyton's Play Last Night

He's no Tyron Smith. He's going to get our 250M QB killed "developing". PFF has him as the 60th ranked OT.
Killed? Really? Our qb hasn't come close to being killed. Check out the sack numbers that the 49ers have been giving up.

Bad holding call against Guyton: 3rd QTR: 5:20, 3rd & 1.

Guyton is flagged for "HOLDING" Thibodeaux

BUT it's clear that Thibodeaux tripped over Tyler Smith's left leg and fell.

He was NOT pulled down by Guyton. He took Guyton down with him.

Guyton had a bad game and was blaming the officials. He needs to improve his technique and stop pointing the finger at the officiating.
The officials were horrible. Simple arm bars that the Giant Oline put on Parsons and DLaw were instant penalty flags when Guyton used the exact same technique. Also, a Giant rusher tripped over a Dallas lineman, Guyton landed on top of him, and Guyton was flagged for holding. Disgusting.

He is making lots of mistakes, getting beat against good D and complaining about penalties that were legit is a bad look. That being said, as long as he develops over the season and his play improves it will be worth it down the road. No rookie can be asked to step in on our OL and be effective right away

pretty sure on that play , though,he was still hanging on and landed on top of him with arms wrapped..a couple of his penalties this was the case, so it's pretty hard to plead your case that way

I focused in on Guyton's play last night, specifically his foot work and upper body control. I really believe he has improved his mechanics at the point of attack and is keeping square to the line. He will eventually become a solid tackle for us as he develops this season.
Guyton is a bust. He already has a reputation as a holding machine

Legit?

Guyton needs moved to RT, Asim put in at LT and Steele moved to the minors.

Stock Up: Terence Steele

It has been a long first month of the season for Terence Steele as we have lamented many times about how unprepared he seems to be. As the second-most tenured veteran we have a right to expect more from him.

We got more on Thursday night. Consider that Giants pass rusher Brian Burns (you know, the one they made a big trade for in the offseason) did not have a single pressure against Dallas on the 25 plays in which he rushed the passer. This was the first time in his career he was held pressure-less in games in which he had at least double-digit attempts.

There is hope Steele puts it together

All I know is Guyton looks the part. He has tremendous length and light feet.

I would say that winning championships would bring much more money and make the team more valuable. But I Jerry doesn't see it that way, his ego is too big.
Exactly what I’ve been saying….if he won a SB, the attention would sky rocket, more than any stuff he’s doing now while holding the team back.
